WORKSHOP ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IEEE CS MVSR in collaboration with MyCaptain Connect has conducted a one-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence on 14 th September 2018. The main aim of the workshop was to educate the students and staff about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and the real time implementation of Artificial Intelligence. Target audience for the workshop included faculty, research scholars and students of B.E and M. Tech in CSE, IT and ECE departments. Session details: Date :14 th September 2018. Time :10:00 am 3:30 pm. Venue :QEEE HALL, No. of students attended: 91 The aim of the session is to bust some common myths about Artificial Intelligence, educate students about the importance of AI and its real time implementation. The agenda began with Mr. V. Ashwini kumar (Student Branch Advisor) addressing the gathering. He mentioned the use of planning an academic calendar for IEEE CS which included the type of events that should be performed in mere future. This was followed by Dr. Akhil Khare (Head,CSE dept) speaking about the importance of AI and to know its extent. He also mentioned regarding the workshops, certifications,etc which help students in grading up themselves. Dr. D. Kanaka Durga (Principal, MVSREC) conveyed her wishes to the team and suggested students to make use of IEEE CS platform to excel in their problem solving and computing skills. Mr. Anurag (Head, The Climber) briefed about MyCaptain Connect which provides directions to students to evolve and achieve success. Mr.V. Ashwini Kumar (SBA) speaking about the importance of connecting computer professionals to IEEE CS.

The key note speech was delivered by A. Sai Teja. He gave an introduction on Artificial Intelligence and stated the misconception that people have towards it. Sai Teja presented the case studies to demonstrate learning through algorithms. He shared some of the implemented projects and their working with the students. Mr. A. Sai Teja giving the demo of analysing an image through algorithms to the students. The session became interactive as students involved in the concepts and posted their queries which were clarified by the speaker. The session was then handed to Mr. Adil Shaik who presented the concepts of Pattern recognition, Object detection, Image classification and Chat bots.

Yuvraj introduced the basics to students which helped them in understanding the case studies. Mr. Yuvraj Jaiswal interacting with students and guiding them during the hands-on session.
