Completion of the Assure Basic Training course Familiarity with your organization s inputs, business processes, and work flow Basic understanding of the ways in which the application of Assure will benefit your business Curriculum Select 4 training modules from the list below. Calendar Functions Training Assure processing is driven by schedules and calendars. When new data comes in, a business may need to determine whether that data meets the parameters dictated by established calendars or schedules. This course introduces participants to calendar functions that assist in making that determination. File Monitoring Training Suppose that a critical step in a business process relies upon inputs coming in from a variety of sources, in a variety of formats. Suppose that processing cannot proceed unless all inputs are present and accounted for. An Assure file monitor enables a business to monitor the system in anticipation of those inputs, and initiate additional processing after they have been received. This course will introduce participants to File Monitoring concepts. Point-to-Point Validation A business application may rely upon transactions or files that must remain unchanged through multiple checkpoints in a single system or process. Participants will learn to use a point-to- point validation for such applications. Suspense Processing Training Suspense processing creates a temporary holding area (suspense file) to hold data not matched in a reconciliation execution. This suspense file is then used as input into subsequent processing cycles. This course will acquaint participants with Suspense Processing control setup. Text Functions Training Sometimes the data that flows into a business application is neither straightforward nor easy to pinpoint. This course acquaints participants with the most common text functions that enable users to extract and isolate even the most convoluted data. Translation Tables Training Translation is the process by which something is converted from one state or form, to another. In this course participants will learn how to create translation tables and utilize them for data extraction.
