MINUTES AUTAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION JUNE 27, 2016 The Autauga County Board of Education met in a regular session on Monday, June 27, 2016. Board Chairman Jim Manderson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with all board members present. Jeffrey Keith gave the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance followed. The agenda for the meeting was unanimously approved on a motion by Mr. Hindman, seconded by Ms. Goodwin. The minutes from the June 6, 2016 board meeting were unanimously approved on a motion by Mr. Keith, seconded by Ms. Goodwin. Teresa Dekle from the State Examiners Office gave the audit statement. Jeremy Jones from Verizon gave a presentation on the cell phone agreement. On a motion by Mr. Hindman, seconded by Mr. Keith, the board unanimously approved the Verizon agreement as presented. Jay Thompson gave an update on the construction project at Prattville High School. On the recommendation of the superintendent, the April 2016 and May 2016 Bank and Financial Statements were unanimously approved as presented on a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Ms. Ballow. On the recommendation of the superintendent, the quote of $8,767.89, from United Rentals, for the purchase of the 2008 Skyjack Scissor lift was unanimously approved as presented on a motion by Ms. Ballow, seconded by Ms. Goodwin. On the superintendent s recommendation, the quote of $12,500, from Stoudemire Construction, to install new drain pipes, floor sinks and floor drains at Prattville Elementary School was unanimously approved as presented on a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Hindman. The superintendent s recommendation to accept the Compulsory Attendance Ages Policy as presented was unanimously approved on a motion by Ms. Ballow, seconded by Ms. Goodwin. The Student Admissions Policy was unanimously approved as presented on the superintendent s recommendation, on a motion by Mr. Hindman, seconded by Ms. Goodwin.

The superintendent s recommendation to accept the Virtual School Option Policy as presented was unanimously approved on a motion by Mr. Keith, seconded by Ms. Ballow. The Granting Eighth Grade Credit toward Graduation Policy was unanimously approved as presented on the superintendent s recommendation, on a motion by Ms. Ballow, seconded by Mr. Hindman. The superintendent s recommendation to accept the Dress Code Policy as presented was unanimously approved on a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Keith. The Step Program Policy was unanimously approved as presented on the superintendent s recommendation, on a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Keith. On the recommendation of the superintendent, the Code of Conduct was unanimously approved as presented on a motion by Mr. Hindman, seconded by Ms. Goodwin. On the superintendent s recommendation, the disposal items were unanimously approved as presented on a motion by Mr. Keith, seconded by Ms. Ballow. On a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Hindman, the board unanimously approved the Behavior/Compliance Specialist job description as presented. On a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Hindman, the board unanimously approved the following personnel action after tabling employment support item 1 on a motion by Ms. Goodwin, seconded by Mr. Keith.
