ABOUT BMCEM Bhagwan Mahavir College of Engineering and Management (BMCEM) is founded by a group of top educationists and professionals. It is an elite part of Bhagwan Mahavir Education Foundation Trust. BMCEM has emerged as a special institute after the successful running of about 23 institutes by the same trust in Gujarat (Surat) and Delhi-NCR. It has been spread in 22 acres of land, surrounded by a green belt of farms and fields. The institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University [G.G.S.I.P.U], New Delhi. The Chairman of the institute is Prof. (Dr). Sanjay Jain. He is a renowned educationist, a prominent scientist and a person with a farsighted and clear vision. Vision: To bring forth the prosperity of nation by educating the students spread over the country and abroad and grooming them to produce highly skilled professionals. About EduXpress: A buoyant and congenial workplace ensures that employees are welcomed each day at work with positivity, energy and zeal and take back the same positivity at the end of the day. An inspirational thought inspires the latent innovator and differentiator in them and brings their potential to broaden their horizon and perspective. EduXpress is one such esteemed work that transmits all these above said thoughts. This newsletter will serve to reinforce and allow increased responsiveness and improved relations among all of us. EduXpress is projected to be published once in a year. This is the continuing issue of our first issue, and is a brief account of the important events held up to September, 2018. CHAIRMAN S MESSAGE: BMCEM, one of the emerging engineering colleges has been progressing at an exponential rate. Many notable achievements have been recorded since its inception. These merits and credits have seldom known to public and the authority due to the lack of showcasing or projecting through a medium. This e- newsletter is a medium which will bridge the gap between achievements and publicity. Activities published-that to not all-in the claim that BMCEM is progressing at an exponential rate. I am happy that BMCEM is bringing out a college newsletter. It will definitely help to showcase the activities that are happening in the campus. It also helps in building up teamwork which is very much needed today in the world of competition. It provides a platform for exposing the merits and achievements of the institution. This would definitely create an impact in the mind of readers by way of providing larger visibility and dimensions to the campus. The name and fame of an institution depends on the calibre and achievements of students andteachers. I would like to thank and appreciate the contributions of all for this newsletter. EduXpress provided me the platform to exhibit all the highlights of our institution of the lastsession. ORIENTATION DAY them information regarding financial and technological assistance for execution of these new ideas. Orientation Day 2018 was organized By BMEF in the campus on 16 th August, 2018. Prof. Dr. Bharat Chede (Director BMCEM) AND Prof Dr. Barjesh Kochar(Director MVSIT) were welcomed by presenting bouquets of flowers. The event began with the Tilak Ceremony followed by Deep Prajawalan by Dr. Bharat Chede (Director- BMCEM), Prof Dr. BarjeshKochar(Director MVSIT) and Head Of Departments of all courses. After Deep Prajawalan, Ganesh Vandana was performed by student of CSE 3 rd Year. After all the cultural events, students were given a tour of the college guiding them about the classrooms, labs, timetable and other information. The event finished off with refreshment which was given to students, parents and staff members. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAM Institute organized a one week Training Program for Final year students(2014-18) from 7th Sept, 2017, 11th Sept,2017 to 14th Sept, 2017 to promote learning and understanding in students and made aware about their strength and weaknesses. Resource Person- Mr. Manish Raj Sharma, CEO, MRS Training Services. The opening speech was given by Dr Bharat Chede (Director BMCEM) who inspired and motivated the students to demonstrate excellent performance in their coming 4 years of college life. It was followed by speech of Prof Dr. BarjeshKochar(Director MVSIT) and he highlighted the importance of thinking of new ideas and projects as a part of their curriculum and college life. He further encouraged the students by giving

EXPERT LECTURE INAUGRATION OF ROBOTICS CENTRE Robotics Centre was inaugurated by DTU alumni Ms. Preeti. Workshop On Robotics was conducted on 27th September 2017. The objective of the workshop was to know about the tracking of robotics and lab. Institute organized Expert Lecture on National Entrepreneurship Day on 8th and 9th Nov, 2017 to promote knowledge and researches in the field of entrepreneurship. The key note Speakers include Col.(Dr.) M.P.Sen and Prof. Rajender Singh Chiller. CAREER COUNSELLING Institute organized a one day seminar on career counselling and Opportunity Abroad on 11th Oct, 2017 & 13th Nov, 2017.

The Seminar was conducted by Ms. Golda Malhotra, Coordinator, South East Asia N+i consortium of Engineering Institutions in France. IIT VIRTUAL LAB Two days workshop on virtual lab was organized starting from 19th Feb 2018 at Seminar Hall of the Institution. The objective of programme is to encourage students to use virtual lab. NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CYBER SECURITY Institute organized National Conference on National Conference "Latest Innovations in Data Science & Cyber Security on 23rd March 2018 to promote the knowledge and the researches in field of Cyber Security. The key note Speakers include Dr. R. K. Sharma Mishra, Dr. Satish Chand,MrAbhilash, Dr. Rajeev Kapoor, Dr.Nasib Singh Gill. No. of participants : More than 100 No. of Papers: 50

Among the students and it had serve up-to the best, around 34 students from all department of our college has participated. The students expressed their views and thoughts about the great teachers by drawing, writing slogans and quotes. One could see and feel the enthusiasm that the students had in their presentation. This activity kept the student engaged and it was organized to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a platform to showcase their skills. HOLI CELEBRATION Students of the institution participated & celebrated enthusiastically the colorful celebration TEACHER s DAY CELEBRATION with COMPETITION The objective of the celebration with competition was to address the feeling of respect & affection of students for a teacher. Bhagwan Mahaveer College of Engineering & Management organised a Poster making competitions which was held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 on the occasion of Teacher s Day. The Theme was Role of Teacher in Student s Life. STUDENTS PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL Students of our Institution participated in different sports activities held in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and got various positions in different sports.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY Sports play a great role in our life as it keeps us healthy, wealthy and active. We can have a healthy mind only when we have a healthy body. ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST- Our institute has organized cultural fest ENVISTA in the campus on 16th March 2018. The main aim is to provide great platform to showcase leadership and organization skills in students. ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST (IPU) ANUGOONJ Cultural Coordination Committee is working with an objective of giving a holistic approach to professional higher education. The Committee intends to create an atmosphere, which is intellectually and aesthetically stimulating for the community on the campus. Students took active participation in Guru Gobind Indraprastha University annual cultural fest ANUGOONJ 2018 held in Dwarka, Delhi. Students from our institute took active participation in the various events held which include Dance, Singing, Literature, Drama etc. RANGOLI & CODING COMPETITION Rangoli and Coding competition was organised in BMCEM college on 8 th Oct. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students here are now very good programmer which was proved through the Coding Competition.
