Minutes - Call to Order Pledge to Flag Invocation Approve Minutes of the November 29, 2010 meeting. Enclosure A Delegation(s) Reports Volga-Century Elementary School LSIC Report Facilities Report Superintendent s Recommendations Attendance 1. Recommendation: In compliance with Attendance Policy 8200, approve requests for out-ofzone attendance for school year 2010-2011 contingent upon compliance with pupil-teacher ratio. Enclosure B Business & Finance 2. Recommendation: Approve payment of bills for the period of November 25, 2010 through December 2, 2010 at a total expenditure of $61,483.57. - Enclosure C

3. Recommendation: Authorize the payment of utility, travel and rent bills due before next board meeting not to exceed $20,000.00. (Refer to Enclosure C) 4. Recommendation: Authorize the December 15, 2010 payroll and federal withholdings not to exceed the amount of $900,000.00 to be released in accordance with Federal Law. (Refer to Enclosure C) 5. Recommendation: Approve the final total of the December 1, 2010 payroll check and federal withholdings in the amount of $4,237.74. Enclosure D 6. Recommendation: Approve/Confirm use of buildings and/or grounds. Recommendation: Approve/Confirm curricular trips. Vernon Elementary School on December 16, 2010 Volga-Century Elementary School (Positive Behavior Students) to Elkins Bowling Alley on January 21, 2011 9. Recommendation: Allow Tyler Gordon, a student at Philip Barbour High School, to travel on a bus to Belington Middle School Boys Basketball away games as a statistician for the 2010-2011 basketball season. Recommendation: Approve transportation travel requests. Enclosure J Travel 13. Recommendation: Approve/Confirm requests for professional leave. Enclosure K Vocational Personnel 14. Recommendation: Employ the following personnel for the 2010/2011 school year. Employment is contingent upon certification and clearance of criminal conviction as defined in WV Codes 18-5-15c(d) and 15-2-24(d). Enclosure L, Social Studies Instructor at Philip Barbour High School, Coordinator of Payroll and Benefits Services/Auditor/Receptionist-Switch Board Operator at Central Office (remainder of 260 day contract), Long Term Substitute 5 th Grade Teacher at Junior Elementary School (position will terminate at end of the 2010/2011 school year., Bus Operator, Route 10, Substitute Teacher 15. Recommendation: Accept resignation/retirement of Christina Moneypenney as a Teacher at Philip Barbour High School, effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Enclosure M 16. Recommendation: Accept resignation/retirement of Susan Talbott as an Elementary Literacy Coach, effective June 30, 2011. Enclosure N

17. Recommendation: Accept resignation/retirement of Jude McConnell as a Teacher at Philippi Middle School, effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Enclosure O 18. Recommendation: Accept resignation/retirement of Cheryl Fridley as a Counselor at Philip Barbour High School, effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Enclosure P 19. Recommendation: Accept resignation/retirement of Pamela Smith as a Teacher at Philippi Elementary School, effective at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Enclosure Q 20.
