Community College Student Outcomes, Human Capital, and Entropy Analysis of student credit distributions using information-theoretic techniques to understand relationships between macro-level socioeconomic factors and educational outcomes. Designed and led the study. Created a theoretical framework using energy & entropy to describe student progress. Worked with a state agency to acquire a data set of 240,000 students. Analyzed distributions using maximum likelihood, empirical cumulative distribution functions, and QQ plots.
