LBSC 741 LBSC744 LBSC709 School Library Media Program Administration Course revised Spring 2002 to increase requirements, which include preparation of a portfolio that demonstrates competencies in all aspects of program management. Course evaluations from the Spring 2003 semester reflected a score of 4.8/5.0 on the measure of teaching effectiveness and 4.8/5.0 on the measure of the value of the course to an understanding of the field. Field Study in School Library Media Programs Assumed all responsibility for the capstone course for students in the school library media specialization in 2001. Completely revised and significantly increased course requirements. Course evaluations from the Fall 2003 semester reflected a score of 5.0/5.0 on the measure of teaching effectiveness and 4.9/5.0 on the measure of value of the course to an understanding of the field. Independent Study Summer 2002 semester Supervised two school library media students. Spring 2003 semester Supervised one school library media student. Spring 2004 semester Supervise three students in the public library area. Advise 30-40 MLS students each semester who are planning careers as school library media specialists. In addition, during the 2003-2004 academic year, I assumed responsibility for advising an additional 20 students who are planning careers as public librarians, children s librarians, or children s information specialists.
