Cooperative Extension Service 4800A New Hartford Road Owensboro KY 42303 270-685-8480 Fax: 270-685-3276 extension.ca.uky.edu It s Time for the TSC Paper Clover Drive! The 4-H/TSC Paper Clover Campaign is a nationwide, in-store fundraiser that benefits 4-H programming in communities where a TSC store is located. We are fortunate enough to have two TSC locations here in Daviess County. As a thank you to the community for their support, we will have a table set up for 2 days at each Tractor Supply location. This will be an opportunity for our 4-H ers to show off some of their accomplishments, say thank you to the community TSC shoppers for their support of the programs, and gain some community service hours by assisting customers with getting their purchase to their vehicle. If you are interested in joining us on any of these days in-store, please call the Extension Office by March 24 to sign up. TSC East off HWY 54 April 29, 9-11am and May 6, 9-11am TSC West off Starlite Drive April 27, 4-6pm and May 4, 4-6pm Please consider taking part in the Spring Paper Clover Campaign April 26 through May 7 by accompanying us in-store and by purchasing a $1 Paper Clover at checkout to show your support for the 4-H program! Did you know that farmers in Kentucky can make a donation of $10.00 when renewing their farm license plates to help raise funds for 4-H? The Ag Tag Program is supported by the Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles. The money raised by the program is evenly split between Kentucky 4-H, Kentucky FFA and Kentucky Proud, which promotes agricultural products raised, grown, or processed in Kentucky by Kentuckians. Last year Kentucky 4-H programs received $184,237 from the Ag Tag Program. These funds are split between the county where the funds originated and the Kentucky 4-H Foundation for state level programs. Daviess County 4-H received $3,353 of that sum. That money goes straight into our 4-H Council account where it benefits 4-H ers by contributing to 4-H Camp Scholarships, leader training and local 4-H promotional and educational events. Please make sure you support our state and local 4-H programs by encouraging farmers to make this donation! We thank our farmers for their continued support! The 4-H Recognition Banquet will be Thursday, April 20 at 6:00pm in Bittel Hall at the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds.

District 6 North 4-H Horse Camp is scheduled for May 19-21 at the Union County Fair & Exposition Center in Sturgis. Registration forms and fees are due March 18 and are available at the Extension Office. All adults attending must have completed the 4-H Extension Client Protection process. Contact Stacey at the Extension Office if you have questions. We spent our February meeting talking about livestock judging, specifically cattle. Our adult leader, Daniel Hayden, is planning another meeting for those interested in Livestock Judging on March 9, at 6pm. We use parliamentary procedure for our meetings. We have a president, secretary and reporter. At our next meeting we will be doing a character survey.
