ADMISSION GUIDELINES : A candidate can apply for one of the following Bachelors and Masters Degree Courses 1. Bachelors Programmes : B.Sc in Fashion Design/ Textile Design/ Textile Design. 2. Master Programmes : M.Sc in Garment Manufacturing Technology/ Fashion Marketing Management. The admission for Bachelor Programmes and Master Programmes will be based on the basis of written examination followed by Situation Test (UG) and Interview (UG and PG). WHO CAN APPLY Eligibility for Bachelor Programmes B. SC in Fashion Design / Textile Design / Fashion Design Knits The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri- Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level or Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system or A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTER PROGRAMMES -M. Sc. in Fashion Garment Manufacturing Technology and M.Sc in Fashion Marketing and Management NOTE B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.E or B.A/ B.Com/ BBA/ BCA with any one of the following subjects: Economics/ Statistics/ Management/ Marketing / Mathematics /Textiles/ Fashion/ Accounts/ Computers / Home Science / any other related Diploma. Second counseling is open to all the eligible candidates shown in the final merit list, (who have completed all the three phases of admission process, including entrance, situation test and Interview) Counseling time for reserved categories is first half till 1.00 p.m on selected day and thereafterunfilled reserved seats SC/ST and PHP will be converted to General Category. Counseling for unreserved categories is done in second half on same day In the second counseling, NIIFT provides opportunity for merit wise swapping of seats from one centre to other, from one course to other for available seats on the basis of written request given on first counseling. Absentees in first counseling can also appear.
No separate letters are sent for second counseling by post, candidates can download their call letter for second counseling from Admission portal on NIIFT website www.niiftindia.com. After the second counseling, left out seats will be open for eligible candidates to be filled on first come first serve basis on submission of fee however in case any seat becomes vacant out of the 100% filled seats of any course during second counseling later on that seat will be filled on merit basis by the students which were admitted in first or second counseling.
