Children Outreach Programs Beginning Steps Beginning Steps is an outreach ministry of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield. Our mission is to provide quality Christian childcare. We strive to provide a wholesome atmosphere for the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of the child. We believe a child learns most effectively through a structured, playoriented approach. We believe that a child s needs should be met at his or her stage of development and that each child has his or her own developmental timetable. Beginning Steps Child Care offers all day childcare for infants through pre-school. Additionally, we offer before and after care and summer camp for children K-5 th grade. For children not needing full-day care. We offer pre-school for 3-5 year olds. Blast Kids need a place to connect with God and each other. Through wild and crazy activities, Bible devotionals, and mission projects our kids learn how to live out their faith 24/7. Our K-5 th graders meet every Sunday from 4-5pm. Youth First Baptist Church has a small group of middle and high school students from the Plainfield area that attend church and a weekly gathering for games, food, worship, and a lesson.
