You have a great opportunity this week to see some terrific baseball in your own back yard. We will be hosting the Elite 8 round of the baseball State Tournament this week. With a double header played Wednesday and a potential third game played Thursday. We should have great weather so head to the park. There is a $10 charge for the double header unless you have a GHSA coaches pass. It is a GHSA event and we cannot accept CCSD ID s. Also be sure to wish our Track and Field participants luck as the head to Carrollton this week. We will honor them and our lacrosse team with a Spirit Walk Wednesday morning so fill the halls and give them some love. Edge of the Sword: SPRING SPORTS CLASSROOM CREATIVITY HONORS They may be Jr. Knight s, but they are learning a valuable lesson to take pride in your facility!
FORE! Our boys and girls team competed in the Area Tournament this week. They came up a little short, but improved from last year s result. Zach Johnson made the turn in 45! We had 3 golfers that moved on to the back 9! We shot a school record and improved our overall team score by 89 strokes this year. Knights shoot a school best in the area tournament! Zach Johnson led all players with a consistent 45-45. Eric Sabula also broke 100 and shot a 96. Mia Jacobs, Jensen St. John and Holly Humphry all competed on the girls side with Jensen narrowly missing qualifying for the State Meet. These kids don t get the publicity of other sports since they are never playing at home, but they put in the hours like everyone else and do a great job representing our school.
