Also, if a participant has already been certified by FLIP or has purchased training/certification/combo in any of the applicable areas (as mentioned under clause 4 and 5 below) before 9 th August 2011, then he/she is not eligible to participate in the Challenge only for that area. 3. The contest is a computer based certification exam that the participant needs to take at specified test centers across India between 09 th August 2011 and 26 th September 2011. 4. Applicable areas (for final year students) in which a participant can write the exam are: 1. Treasury & Capital Markets 2. Corporate Banking: Products & Credit Analysis 3. Trade Finance and Cash Management Services 5. Applicable area (for first year students) in which a participant can write the exam is: 1. Finance & Banking Fundamentals (India) 6. To participate in the contest a student needs to enrol on the website by paying an exam fee, and write the exam within the specified time period (09 th August 2011 to 26 th September 2011). How to Participate 1. Participants need to pay a fee of Rs.1500 (inclusive of service tax) for the certification exam. He/she can make the payment using Credit Card/Debit Card/ Internet Banking or Cash/Cheque/DD in any Axis Bank branch(by downloading a deposit slip from the website). 2. Participants are allowed to take the certification exam in any area, only once in the contest period (9 th August, 2011 to 26 th September, 2011). 3. Any eligible candidate who has purchased, or purchased and written the regular FLIP certification(not the FLIP Challenge) in any of the applicable areas (as mentioned before) within the contest period, can also be considered for the Challenge provided he/she expresses his/her interest through an email to FLIP by 12 th September 2011.

However, no request for refund will be entertained, for the excess price paid, for the regular FLIP certification. 4. A participant can write the certification exam in more than one applicable area. BUT, the final list of top 10 participants will be unique for each area. She/he will have to choose ONE Area for which she/he wishes to be considered. She/he will have to send an email within 12 hours of first communication. If not, FLIP will put her/his name in the area where she/he has a higher rank. If she/he has same rank in two or more areas, then FLIP will put her/his name as per the following priority - 1. Treasury & Capital Markets 2. Corporate Banking: Products & Credit Analysis 3. Trade Finance and Cash Management Services 5. Participants MUST give valid, frequently checked email ID, address & phone no. If a participant is in the shortlist and FLIP does not get a response from him/her within specified timelines, then he/she may be disqualified/ moved out of the shortlist. 6. The exam fee is not refundable in any case. Exam Dates and Booking 1. The FLIP National Challenge starts from 9 th August, 2011 and ends on 26 th September, 2011. That is, the certification exam must be written during this period. Enrolment for the Challenge however, closes on 12 th September, 2011. 2. FLIP certification exams are run at centres across India, 4 times/day, 6 days/week (except national holidays). A participant can book the date and time according to his/her convenience, but the last date of writing the exam is 26 th September 2011. 3. A participant can book the time slot for writing the exam post his/her enrolment, starting from 9 th August, 2011. She/he can book any date from 9 th August 2011 to 26 th September 2011 for the exam. We recommend that you should book the date at the earliest as the seats are limited and allotted on first come first served basis. If a participant books an exam date after 26 th September 2011, he would not be eligible for the contest. This is a limited validity certification; that will expire on 26 th September 2011. 4. FLIP has tried its best to have seats available across centers, however this is NOT guaranteed. If the participant leaves it too late and seats are not available, FLIP will not be responsible.

5. FLIP cannot guarantee a specific time slot to any participant. If a participant is not able to book a slot at any test center due to unavailability then FLIP will allot a time slot and the test center (based on availability). 6. Once a participant books the certification date, he/she cannot reschedule the slot. She/he will need to cancel and re-enrol by paying the exam fee again. 7. If a participant is unable to appear for the Challenge certification exam for some reason, she/he can take it again during the Challenge period by repaying the exam fee as mentioned above. Bulk Testing 1. To enable participation from candidates in B-Schools based in a city where FLIP does not have its test center, FLIP offers the option of Bulk Testing. 2. Under Bulk Testing, FLIP offers to conduct an offline exam at the institute campus to facilitate the testing process, provided there are at least 50 enrollments from the institute. 3. In case of Bulk Testing at the institute campus, no student from that institute is allowed to write the certification exam at any other FLIP Test center 4. Once FLIP agrees to conduct the Bulk Testing at the campus, no student should book an exam date online. If any student books the exam date online, that booking will be cancelled, and he/she will have to write the exam date at the institute campus by paying Rs.500, on the date mutually agreed by FLIP and the Institute. 5. In case any candidate has booked the exam date before the Bulk Testing was agreed by FLIP, his/her booking will stand cancelled, and he/she will have to write the exam at the campus, without paying a fee. 6. As soon as the Bulk Testing is confirmed and the list of interested students is received from the institute, the online link for booking the exam date will be disabled by FLIP. 7. In case the student is not sure about the Bulk Testing taking place at his/her institute, he/she should check with FLIP. She/he can call at 9243666001/2/3 or send an e-mail to support@learnwithflip.com. 8. TO conduct Bulk Testing FLIP will send its representatives to the institute campus. FLIP will provide only the question papers and the answer sheets required for the exam. Any other infrastructure required to conduct the exam like, rooms/halls, furniture, Laptop charging points etc. will be provided by the Institute.

9. All exams will have a duration of 2 hours with multiple choice questions. The candidate will have to mark the answers on the given answer sheet using a blue/black pen. 10. In case any student is found using/trying to use any unfair means to solve the questions he/she will be disqualified from the exam. In case of any dispute, the decision of the FLIP representative will be final. 11. FLIP reserves the right to change/cancel the date of certification exam at campus, in case of any unforeseen events. Top 10 and Pre Placement Interview (PPI) 1. A participant must score a minimum of 60% after negative marking, in the exam to be FLIP certified and considered in the top 10. 2. The list of Top 10 candidates in each area will be decided on the basis of score in the certification exam. The scores will be considered till one decimal point. Candidates taking the exam at a FLIP centre must note that the scores displayed at the end of the exam are rounded off, and the final scores upto one decimal point will be available on your user dashboard. 3. If there is more than one candidate with the same score, then the accuracy of the candidate will be the deciding parameter for higher position. 4. The accuracy will be calculated using the following formula: Accuracy = Total correct answers/total questions attempted 5. Only the top 10 participants (who are in the final year of their MBA) from each area i.e. Treasury and Capital Markets, Corporate Banking: Products & Credit Analysis and Trade Finance and Cash Management Services will get the Pre Placement Interview (PPI) with FLIP National Challenge Partners i.e. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and YES Bank. 6. The top 10 participants (final year students only) from each area will also get an interview guidance session, and help in resume preparation. The exact dates for each of these will be scheduled and informed to the candidates. 7. The interview guidance sessions from senior bankers for the PPIs will be conducted via telephone and rescheduling of the same is not possible. You are expected to attend, to enhance your chance of success. 8. The top 10 participants (who are in first year of their MBA) in Finance and Banking Fundamentals - India will get mentoring/interview guidance and help in resume preparation from senior bankers for their internship. They will also get

an opportunity to visit the Standard Chartered Bank s dealing room and meeting with MD (Regional Head) of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities South Asia. 9. In case a participant (first year students only) decides to visit, she/he will have to travel to Mumbai. Any expense incurred towards travelling/stay will be borne by the participant only. However, for outstation (non Mumbai institute students) FLIP will pay a flat amount of Rupees two thousand only, towards the travel expenses incurred on proof of travel. Local Mumbai institute students will get a flat amount of Rs. five hundred. No other expense claims would be entertained by FLIP. 10. While visiting Mumbai the participant may be asked to carry some documents (I-card etc.), failing which she/he may be denied the opportunity to visit the dealing room. Cash Prize 1. Only the top 3 participants from the final list in each area are eligible for the cash prize, provided they attend all three PPIs (for students in final year of their MBA),and fulfill all the other eligibility conditions stipulated by FLIP 2. The cash prize for top 3 is as follows i. 1 st position - INR 30,000 ii. 2 nd position - INR 20,000 iii. 3 rd position - INR 10,000 3. Cash prizes will be paid via a/c payee cheque only. 4. In case of more than one participant for the same position in Top 3, the cash prize for that position will be equally divided among them. For example if there are 2 participants tied for first position then each of them will get Rs.25000. There will be no second position in that case. The same logic holds for a tie in second place. Each of them would then get Rs.15,000. There would be no third position. Results and Interview Process 1. Results will be announced on 3 rd October on the website, and only the top 10 participants will be intimated through an email by FLIP. 2. A list of the top ten certified participants and a waitlist (Only for final year students) of 3 certified participants for each certification area will be put up on the website.

3. In case a student(final year) in the top ten opts out of the PPI or is disqualified for any reason the waitlisted student will be moved to the final list. The top 10 shortlisted participants will have to submit the scanned copy of the following documents within the specified timeline, which will be communicated to them through email. i. Copy of college identity card. ii. A bonafide certificate from his/her institute confirming that he/she is a first year/ final year student of that institute in original. iii. Latest resume in the FLIP format. 4. The top ten participants in each area MUST confirm their availability for PPI within the specified timeline. If any participant fails to do so, he/she will be disqualified/ moved out of the short list. 5. If any of the TOP 10 participants after confirming their availability for PPI, fail to appear for the PPI, then the waiting list will move up. This means that the students in the waiting list will move into the shortlist, in order of their ranking. They will then be eligible to attend the PPI. 6. All shortlisted participants MUST attend the PPI with all the Challenge Partners. This is a reputation risk for FLIP, the student, and the institute the student belongs to. If a participant forfeits any of the PPIs, he/she also forfeits the cash and place on the final list. Cash prizes will be given only after the PPI procedure is over. 7. Rescheduling of the PPI for any reason is at the sole discretion of the recruiter Challenge Partner. This is not recommended, unless there is an emergency. 8. In case of a clash in dates between Challenge Partners, and rescheduling is required, FLIP will try and intervene and assist the candidate. In case rescheduling is not possible, the candidate will have to opt for one of the PPIs. The candidate, in this case will still be eligible for the Challenge. 9. The result of PPIs will be declared by FLIP. Selected candidates will be communicated through email and the offer would be sent to them. 10. The PPIs would be conducted in India, unless specifically informed otherwise by the challenge partner. In case a candidate happens to be outside India on an Exchange program or otherwise, it will be the challenge partner s prerogative to decide if an interview can be conducted in that location. FLIP will not be able to guarantee an interview under these circumstances.

FLIP INSTITUTE CHAMPIONSHIP 1. As part of the FLIP National Challenge, there is also a FLIP Institute Championship. The Institute with the best participation plus performance in the Challenge, WINS! 2. The scoring will be as follows. Every participating B-School will be awarded some points on the basis of different parameters as given below: 1. Number of participants (10 Points per participant) 2. Number of certified candidates (100 Points per candidate) 3. Number of candidates, who get the badge of excellence i.e. score 75% and above (200 Points per candidate) 4. Number of candidates, who are in the final top 10 in any area (300 Points per candidate) 3. For example, 50 students from ABC B-School participate in the FLIP Challenge and out of these, 10 are able to clear the exam, 2 score 75% or above, and one secures a position in the Top 10. In this case, the calculation will be as follows: Parameters Points/Candidate No. of Candidates Score Points of Participation 10 50 500 Points for Certified candidates 100 10 1000 Points for Badge of Excellence 200 2 400 Points for Top 10 300 1 300 Total Score 2200 4.
