During this twenty-week course, students will travel the globe studying both the geographical elements of each continent as well as the culture and the people who live there. Students will be responsible for learning the countries, major mountain ranges and bodies of water. As geography and history are impossible to separate, we will also learn some history of the land! Class will be made up of lectures, multi-media, discussions and open-ended questions. Homework will be made up of independent reading, map building, map quizzes, open book tests and a final and a mid-term. We have a lot to cover! Do you want to join us on our journey around the world? If you can t attend class, you watch the recording immediately. Students keep up with reading. Yes, it is a lot; however, this is a high school course. Students participate in class. Students respond to any short writing prompts that I provide you with. Students take quizzes on time. Students take OPEN BOOK Tests on time.
