ASSESSMENT AND DELIVERY INFORMATION Centre devised assessment tasks should be approved by the internal verifier for the course before delivery takes place in order to ensure the assessment is fit for purpose and meets the standards required. Unit Summary In this unit learners will gain experience in specific career- related learning services and activities and they will know how to design, promote, deliver and evaluate promotional activities. Indicative Content Learning Outcome 1 1.1 and 1.2 Promotional activities: communication methods e.g. use of intranet, internet, networks, noticeboards; cross-curricula planning; tutorials; inwards and outwards facing audience etc. Learning Outcome 2 2.1 Internal suppliers: tutors, mentors, pastoral staff, managers. 2.2 External suppliers: range includes parents, employers, sector led organisations; professional bodies; careers information, advice and guidance services. Learning Outcome 3 3.1 and 3.2 Design(deliver) promotional activities: lesson plans, education-business links events; careers conventions; work- based experience; secondment; volunteer programmes, collapsed timetable days. Learning Outcome 4 4.1 Methods of feedback: questionnaire, focus groups, data analysis. 4.3 Plan: use evaluation feedback to inform the choice of future activities. 3
Delivery Requirements/Recommendations Evidence must be drawn from work-base related experience. This is a practical unit and learners must design, deliver and evaluate career related promotional activities. Assessment tasks will be devised to meet the needs of the learning group and to cover all the criteria. 4
