No. 120 of 2004) Admission to Post Graduate Medical Courses in un - aided Medical Educational Institutions in Pondicherry State General In pursuance to the decision of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another Vs State of Karnataka and others dated 14-08-2003, a Common Entrance Test is to be conducted by as Association of Pondicherry Un-aided (Self-financing) professional Colleges. Now, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital and Sri Venkateshwearaa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Puducherry have been granted permission to conduct a Common Entrance Test in the name of Common Entrance Test for Postgraduate Medical Courses-2014 (CETPGMC-2014); for the purpose of selection & admission of students for Postgraduate course in the Private college under the Management Quota. The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test (CETPGMC- 2014) for Postgraduate course conducted by SRI MANAKULA VINAYAGAR MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL AND SRI VENKATESHWARAA MEDICAL COLLEGE HOSPITAL AND RESEARCH CENTRE. Following are the PG Degree Courses available: MD General Medicine, MS General Surgery, MD Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MD Paediatrics, MS Orthopaedics, MD Anesthesiology, MD Dermatology, MD Psychiatry, MD Radio-Diagnosis, MD Pulmonary Medicine, MS ENT, MS Ophthalmology, MD Anatomy, MD Physiology, MD Biochemistry. MD Pharmacology, MD Pathology, MD Microbiology, MD Forensic Medicine, MD Community Medicine Eligibility for Admission As a pre-requisite for admission to the PG course, Candidates must have appeared in CETPGMC - 2014. However, mere appearance in CETPGMC-2014 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to PG courses. The candidates should fulfill the necessary admission requirements prescribed by the Medical Council of India for that degree courses. Minimum Academic Qualification Applicants should have passed the M.B.B.S from an Institution recognized by MCI and must have completed their internship by 31 st May, 2014 and also should have obtained a Permanent Registration from any State Medical Council in India before commencement of the Course. PART- I Basic Sciences : including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology. - 100 Questions. PART - II Clinical Sciences: including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radio-diagnosis and Radio-therapy. 150 Questions. Hall Ticket After processing the application form the Hall Ticket for CETPGMC-2014, containing the Name, Registration Number, Photograph and Entrance Test Center will be sent to the candidate by post. (Names of eligible candidates will be displayed on the website). The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the Hall Ticket no candidate will be permitted to write the test. Mobile Phones are prohibited inside the Examination Hall. Duplicate Hall Ticket If the Hall Ticket is not received by 21 st June, 2014, the candidate should contact the CETPGMC-2014 test center selected by you with two passport size photographs and proof of having applied for CETPGMC-2014 to get the Duplicate Hall Ticket. Rank List of Common Entrance Test (CETPGMC 2014) Rank List showing the marks scored by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test will be displayed on the on the notice board of the College soon after the Publication of result and on the website as well. Instruction and Guidelines to Fill the Application Form Candidates desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (CETPGMC 2014) should fill their application in the prescribed format and send it directly by Post / Courier to the Convenor, Common Entrance Test for Post Graduate Medical Courses (CETPGMC 2014). Candidates can use either the application form given along with the Information brochure, or a downloaded application form from the website www.pimsmmm.com / www.smvmch.ac.in /www.svmcpondy.com.candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One thousand & five hundred only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form. The Application and Information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One thousand and five hundred only) by cash from the Office of the above Colleges or can be obtained by Post by sending a requisition along with Demand Draft for Rs.1,550/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred and fifty only) inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Medical and Dental Colleges Welfare Association, payable at Pondicherry.
