Hokes Bluff is a rural area with few businesses. However, the citizens are very supportive of the schools and concerned with the future technological growth of their youth. The current population of Hokes Bluff, as of July 2011, is 4,179. The racial composition of the school is 98.56% Caucasian, and 1.44% other(asian, Black, American Indian and Multi Race). In the past three years, has added 49 new computer to the access classes, and one television for the access facilitator. Other technology items purchased include, 4 desktops, 6 laptops, 1netbook,6 projectors and 9 ipad. strives to attain the latest in technology in order to education our youth at the pace of today's vast technological world. However, our funds are limited. Our desire is to attain more computers and ipads to be utilized by the students to broaden their knowledge and experience with technology. SY 2013-2014 Page 5

Microsoft Office suite and Trend Antivirus is on every computer in the school. We have 4 digital cameras one for each grade and two Flip Cameras. There are approximately 20 projectors used by teachers at. The internet is also on all computers at. Wifi is available for student access with a technology use acceptance agreement. Professional Learning Based upon the strengths and areas of need listed above, what are your Professional Learning Topics for the upcoming year that involves using technology to improve learner and productivity and prepares students for living and working in a digital world. Professional Learning is offered throughout the summer months on a wide variety of topics. The current school years training schedule is not developed at this time however it is posted online and emailed to all teachers. Some of the previous years topics have included ipad training, website training, Promethean training, wiki training, and many others.
