A special thanks goes to Russell North, Member for Morwell for presenting badges to our student leaders. Our student leaders have in integral role our school. They act as a critical link between students and staff, are involved with decision making, make suggestions for improvements and offer feedback and act as ambassadors for our school. For all of our school leaders it is an expectation that they: Follow the school promise demonstrating how this is done and supporting other students to follow the promise Be a positive role model for their peers, younger students, parents and staff Represent the school with pride by wearing correct school uniform at all times School Captains N O. 3 Work with the Junior School Council coordinating teachers to conduct and promote a range of fundraising and community events Assist in the running of assemblies including setting up Represent the school at events within the community when required Thank visitors to the school either verbally or via a letter post the event 2 0 F E B R U A R Y 2 0 1 9 Coordinate and work with student leaders within the school to make changes to improve our school Be a member of the Graduation committee and address the school community at graduation Meet with the Principal and Assistant Principal on a monthly basis to discuss issues within the school or things to work on

P A G E 4 State Schools Relief State Schools Relief may cover the cost of new school uniforms, shoes, books and more for disadvantaged students. Relief only responds to requests from school principals, assistant principals and welfare coordinators. Parents/carers who are struggling need to make an appointment with the school to discuss their situation. School Uniform As determined by School Council Stockdale Road Primary school has a compulsory school uniform that children are required to wear as outlined in our Student Dress Code Policy. Why do we have a compulsory school uniform? N O. 3 P A G E 5 Stocky Meal Deal Stocky Meal Deals every Wednesday (please note the change of day). Order forms will be sent home on Mondays for the Wednesday of the following week and can also be downloaded from the website. All orders and money are due in the Thursday before by 9am and no late orders can be taken. Parents please remember that there are no Shop lunch orders on a Wednesday due to the Stocky Meal Deal Days. There is a new price list for Shop lunch orders, available from the website and Skoolbag app. When filling out your child s lunch order, please include Name and Grade. Skoolbag App The School App is now available to upload on your phone. This is a great way to receive all of the latest newsletters, payment reminders for camp & excursions and to send in your child s absence information. The Athlete s Foot is now stocking CLARKES. Sunsmart Policy As part of our schools Sunsmart Policy at ALL children must wear a school sun hat whilst outside during Terms 1 and 4. STUDENTS WITH NO HAT, OR WHO HAVE INCORRECT HEAD WEAR, WILL BE RESTRICTED TO PLAY IN A DESIGNATED SHADED AREA.

N O. 3 P A G E 7 CSEF Application forms are due now The Camps, Sports and Excursions Funds. Please note the changes for 2019. Application forms can be obtained from the office. If none of your details have changed and you received the CSEF last year, you will not have to do anything.

Easter Fair is on April 3rd 1-4pm Parent Help needed Please call 5174 1607 if you can assist Easter Fair The Easter Fair will be held on Wednesday 3rd April from 1-4pm at Stockdale Road Primary School, Traralgon. There will be a variety of stalls for entertainment and for purchasing lunch. There will be plenty of entertainment for the children and adults. Keep watching for more details. Leading up to the Easter Fair there will be a casual clothes day on Friday 22nd March. On this day students are able to wear Sunsmart casual clothes with enclosed shoes. They are requested to bring along an Easter egg or Easter bunny for the Easter Raffle. Curriculum Days School Council have confirmed our school closure days for 2019. They are as follows: Friday 8th March Friday 26th April Friday 7th June Council has selected these dates to coincide with public holidays, so that families can plan time together.
