This course is designed to build vocabulary skills, literal and critical comprehension skills, and successful reading strategies.. To recognize and identify both stated and implied main ideas, supporting details, transitions, and pattern of organization in paragraphs and longer passages. Attendance / Withdrawal Policies: Withdrawal Deadline: Friday, July 25, 2011 Methods of Evaluation: REA 0002 is a skills course, and the student must be present to participate. It is mandatory, therefore, that ALL TARDIES AND ABSENCES BE MADE UP by attending an additional reading section taught by the same instructor. The failure to make up any absence or tardy attendance will result in a grade reduction of 3.3% per absence. 1.
