We SOAR with the Light of Jesus. March 15, 2019 Dear St. John Families, As we continue our Christian journey through the season of Lent, let us listen to the call to return our hearts to God. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we come to a deeper understanding of our responsibilities as disciples of Christ. I invite you to participate in our student-lead Stations of the Cross at 2:15 pm in the Church during the Fridays of Lent and to support our students as they participate in the Operation Rice Bowl collection to save change for the poor and hungry. By promoting works of charity, sacrifice, and prayer, we are showing our children how to live Lent in the spirit of Jesus. Congratulations to Grade 1 for winning the Box Tops Challenge by collecting 743 Box Tops. The total for the school was 3,602. Way to go! Many blessings, Mrs. Blake Beans and Bread-March 26 Tuesday, March 26 is our monthly bagged lunch collection for Beans and Bread. Look here (bit.ly/beansbreadinstruct) to see what to include.
