Inaugurated on 12 th Aug, 2010 www.wbpublibnet.gov.in West Bengal Public Library Network begins its footing by providing library facility at the door step of the users, who needs various types of information. Any user can have access to the network at any time with the help of a computer terminal. This network is an initiative to form a centralized network between different district libraries. State Central Library is apex of this network. This website i.e. www.wbpublibnet.gov.in is divided into two major parts. One is Library Part and other is Portal Part.
Scope: Providing various types of information related to Library. Web based application which is easily accessible from anywhere. Full text of rare books available at State Central Library can be accessed. Library Catalog search for district libraries is possible. Various information of Community related to live and livelihood are available in this application. Centralized network of different district libraries with State Central Library at the apex.
