A Western Australian Independent Public School, serving the community of Falcon for 25 Years (1990-2015) From the Principal s Desk Issue 17 - Friday 16 October 2015 PRINCIPAL - Mr Warren Bachman Welcome back for the start of the fourth and final term of the school year. I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday break! To our new families I extend a special welcome. The picture below shows our new front entrance to the school which was completed over the two week break. It certainly is a talking point amongst staff, students and parents as we prepare for our school's 25th Anniversary celebrations. Thank you to the committee of staff and parents for their input. On Monday 16 November we plan to celebrate Falcon Primary Schools 25 Year Anniversary through a series of planned activities. Please find attached your personal invite with all the details including an Anniversary Assembly, Parent Workshops and a Family Picnic lunch. The School Board has suggested that students finish school after lunch (with parent permission) so teacher/parent meetings can occur in the afternoon. Students unable to go home will be supervised at school. Classrooms will be open to the public from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and the P&C will ensure a carnival atmosphere on the oval with lots of fun activities for families. On Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October the Department of Education Services will undertake a review of our school. The review process requires the school to provide a self-review analysis on context, quality of student learning, quality of the student learning environment and sustainability practices. The School Board has completed the process for the selection of the preferred supplier for student personal items in 2016. It was decided that we will remain with Tools for Schools. Further details will be sent home to families next week.

The focus virtue for weeks 1 and 2 is Co-operation. Co-operation is working together for the good of everyone. It is being helpful, respecting others and following rules which keep everyone safe and happy.
