Bountiful Baskets is a wonderful way to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, weekly for a great price. Baskets need to be pre -ordered. Pick-up location will be in the front courtyard, by the crayons, facing US 87 E. In inclement weather, the pick up location will move inside to the Intermediate Voting Gym. The gym can be accessed through the west facing door. Look for signs. Pick-up times will vary. The class will feature Latin rhythms, easy to follow dance moves and calorie burning, body energizing, awe-inspiring movements that tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. This class is good for all levels of fitness. Bring tennis shoes and water bottle. These classes are open to ages 17 and up who are not attending public school. RONALD MCDONALD CARE MOBILE SCHEDULE FOR LOCKWOOD Does your child need medical and/or dental care? Are your kids without health and/or dental insurance? Are you having difficulty finding a dental provider who will accept new medicaid patients? If you answered yes to the above, there is care available for your children. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides medical and dental care to children birth -18 years old who do not have insurance or have not been able to access care. This mobile clinic travels the Billings area Mondays through Fridays. It is available to your child wherever it is parked. It will be in Lockwood several days a month. A schedule is available at school in the Family Resource Center, building offices and the nurse s office. It is also posted on the school website monthly calendars. Call 238-6008 to make an appointment if your child needs care. Lockwood schedule: February's schedule will be posted in the next newsletter. BEE A PART OF THE ACTION GAME NIGHT Come and join the Family Resource Center, along with MSU-B on Tuesday, February 26 for BEE A PART OF THE ACTION GAME NIGHT. The math students from MSU-B will provide several game stations, all focusing on fun ways to learn adding, subtracting, multiplication and other math skills. This is open to all students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and their family members. The fun starts in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be given out to one class in each grade level having the most attendance. See you there! Brr it's cold outside. CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME February 28, 2013 Sturdevant Gym The challenge has been extended from our teachers and accepted by the Celebrities of Billings! The 10th Annual Celebrity Basketball game sponsored by Lockwood PTA will be held on Thursday, February 28. Doors open at 5:30. Starting at 6:00 p.m. the 8th grade boys/girls face off. The Celebs take to the court at 7:00 p.m. to defend their title. Before the Celebrity Game and during half-time the Lockwood Middle School Dance Team will be performing. Then continuing entertainment with Pop-a-Shot. Concession stands will be open. ADMISSION: $5.00 for adults $2.00 for kids SPRING PICTURES Spring casual and class pictures will be taken on Tuesday, February 26 and Wednesday, February 27. Pictures of your child's class are pre-ordered and have to be purchased the day the pictures are taken. Individual pictures are taken of each child unless a parent sends a note requesting the child's picture not be taken. IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE OFFICE Parents, please talk to your children before you send them off to school about their after school plans, i.e. ride the bus home, go to the Boys & Girls Club, walk home, etc. If something comes up during the school day and you need to change those plans, please call the school as early as possible. Do not call 10 minutes before school lets out UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. It is hard to locate students at that time of the day and your message may not be delivered. SLOW DOWN AND DON'T BLOCK TRAFFIC. SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT IS 15 MPH The speed limit in the parking lot is 15 mph. Please make sure when dropping your child off in the parking lot that you pull into the designated drop off areas or a parking place. This is for the safety of your child as well as someone else's. DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT AND BLOCK TRAFFIC TO DROP OFF OR PICK UP YOUR CHILD.
