MARG : NEW DELHI-2 (ISO 9001-2000 QMS CERTIFIED) RECRUITMENT OF DIRECTOR/DEAN/PRINCIPAL IN ESI CORPORATION Employees State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. The Corporation proposes to start Post Graduate Medical Courses and Medical Colleges in its hospitals and action has been initiated to obtain the approval of Central Government and Medical Council of India (as per the prescribed procedure) to start the Post Graduate and under-graduate Medical courses w.e.f. the year 2010-11. Applications in the prescribed form are invited for Director/Dean/Principal in proposed ESIC Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences & Research and Employees State Insurance Corporation Medical Colleges in various States for appointment on deputation / contract basis. -: 2 :- ELIGIBILITY: Officers holding analogous positions in Central/State Govt. service or PSU holding analogous post or additional professors in the grade of Rs 16400-450- Rs 20900 (Prerevised) with 7 years experience in the grade rendered after appointment on regular basis are eligible to apply. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant must possess minimum qualification as prescribed by Medical Council of India minimum qualification for teachers in Medical Institute Regulations, 1998 and MCI PG Medical Education Regulation, 2000 and its amendment 2005-06 (refer www.mciindia.org. for detailed information). Scale of Pay: Rs. 18,400-500-22,400/- + NPA (Pre-revised) and allowances as admissible to analogous posts in the Central Health Services. ESIC has adopted the Sixth Pay Commission & basic pay & other allowances shall be paid as admissible. Pay & Allowances: (i) Candidates appointed on deputation basis will be entitled to pay and allowances as per terms of deputation and option exercised. (ii) The retired Government Officers shall be paid total emoluments at the initial stage of the scale less pension drawn. (iii) Candidates appointed on contractual basis will be paid total emoluments at the initial stage i.e. initial Basic Pay of the relevant pay Scale+Dearness Pay + allowances (NPA+HRA) etc and other allowances applicable to the similar class of officers. Age Limit: Not exceeding 64 years as on 29-06-2009. A. (a) GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPOINTMENT ON DEPUTATION BASIS 1. The selected officers will be entitled to normal terms of deputation as admissible under the Govt. rules. 2. The application in the Proforma given below at Annexure-1 may be sent through proper channel at the address given below. 3. The Advance Copy of application as per Annexure-I may be submitted directly by the candidate before the due date at the respective address. The copy of the application though proper channel, however, to be routed through the Department / Organization concerned. The Department / Organization, while forwarding the application may submit a certificate as per Annexure-II. 4. Candidates initially appointed on deputation basis can be considered for absorption later on in accordance with the policies and requirement of ESIC.

-: 3 :- (b) GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPOINTMENT ON CONTRACT BASIS 01. Officers retired from Central / State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in Private Medical Institutions having sufficient experience at the desired level are also eligible to apply. 02. The candidates have to enclose the attested copies of all the relevant certificates i.e. educational qualification, experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO) etc. B OTHER CONDITIONS:- (i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be called for interview. (ii) If a candidate wants to be considered for more than one ESIC Institutions, separate application should be submitted for each proposed ESIC Medical Institution. (iii) Application should be submitted in the prescribed form only, it should be filled up in block/capital letters in the candidates own handwriting. (iv) Incomplete or Unsigned applications or the applications received without the certified copies of mark sheets/certificates of educational qualification, caste certificate and photographs and those received after the last date of receipt of applications will summarily be rejected without any communication to the candidate. (v)rule of reservation will be applicable as per Govt. of India instructions. (vi) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage. (vii) ESIC will not be responsible for postal delays. The interview shall be conducted at the concerned Regional office of the State. However, ESIC reserves the right to change the centre, if need be. MODE OF SELECTION:- The selection for the posts of Director/Dean/Principal will be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board at the concerned ESIC Regional office of the State.
