Fall 2012 Continuing Studies Demographics Report Summary Institutional Research creates a demographics report from Banner data every fall semester, in late November. The purpose of the report is to provide annual information on student enrolment at the college. This year, there were 611 students enrolled in Continuing Studies (CS) Fall 2012. Some notes about the report Reports are posted on the IR website in a masked format, whereby data with totals less than five are suppressed for privacy as per the Ministry of Education guidelines. The report is created late fall to capture all of the fall activity. Each year, the same methodology is used so that yearly comparisons can be made. Please note, many Trades programs start in the winter semester so Trades headcounts may be underrepresented in this report. This report only includes Continuing Studies certificate students and does not take into consideration full-time/part-time enrolment status. Continuing Studies data has only existed in Banner since the Fall 2007 term at Okanagan College. A returning student is defined as a student who has previously attended either OUC or OC. Fall 2012 Continuing Studies Demographic Statistics at a Glance: Fall 2012 headcount is 611, down 7 from last year. 48% of students (296) were new to Okanagan College. 45% of students attend the Kelowna campus. 92% of all students hail from the Okanagan college region.
