Welcome Incoming ESL Students, Newly enrolled English as a Second Language (ESL) students will be placed in level appropriate classes after a review of their current academic file by the Director of ESL. All ESL students are required to take a minimum of two classes within the ESL curriculum. You will be placed in a level appropriate class for ESL Literature and ESL Composition. Additional classes will be assigned based on grade level and English proficiency. We provide ESL classes in History and Science based on English proficiency. ESL students are mainstreamed for all Math and elective classes. ESL 9 th grade students: History assigned by the Director of ESL. Science assigned by the Director of ESL. MAT-100 Algebra 1 MAT-200 MAT-201 Geometry Geometry Honors Health Students are required to complete one term of health study. Traditionally students satisfy the health requirement as freshman. PED-100 Health Fine Arts Students are required to complete one year of fine arts study. and chorus meet every other day and taken in tandem satisfy the fine arts credit. Two consecutive years of band or chorus also satisfy the fine arts requirement. Other Fine Arts Offerings: This is a sixth major course and requires approval from the Head of Upper School.
