Registration will be open on May 9th starting at 8:00 a.m. and the camp will be open to any girl going into 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the 2017-18 school year. To register on May 9th and for more information on the event visit the website - https://sites.google.com/a/boiseschools.org/girlspoweredstem/home Thanks to all of you who supported our efforts to raise money for the American Heart Association. If you haven't turned in your envelope with donations, please do so as soon as possible. I am sending it all in on April 25th so we can get our thank you gifts back in time before the end of the school year. Thanks again! On May 18th, we will host our 2017/2018 elections. We have two executive board positions open, they are treasurer and secretary. Terms are 2yrs the general commitment is usually one hour and a half meeting during the month and replying to some emails. Secretary will need to spend outside time writing up the minutes for the monthly meeting, estimate 1hr a month in addition to the meeting. For the treasurer: our guesstimate on time spent completing treasurer duties is around 2-4 hrs a week in addition to the monthly meeting. It helps if you have some financial background but that is not a must. Our current treasurer is willing to stick around to help out the person who steps up. If you are interested please let me know. Sincerely, Tiffany Robb Roosevelt President tiffanyarobb@gmail.com 2

EXTRA! EXTRA! PTA Snow Boot Drive - Benefiting: Morley Nelson Elementary This winter threw many of us for a loop with the amount of snow received. Although most of our Roosevelt children were prepared for the snow, many children over at Morley Nelson Elementary were not. Because we do not like to see any child in our community have cold feet, the PTA will be hosting a snow boot drive beginning April 3rd through May 5th. If your child(ren) has outgrown his/her snow boots, please consider throwing them into one of our designated bins. We also accept hats and gloves. Thank you for your continued support.
