OSHA 10 Hour Training Course - General Industry ---- $179 per person This course is ideal for supervisors with safety and health responsibilities, and for employee safety and health awareness. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a 10 hour Training Certificate, plus the official OSHA 10 hour wallet card. June 3 & 4-8:00am 2:00 pm - Location: Gordon Campus OSHA 30 Hour Training Course - General Industry $545 per person This four day workshop is recommended for safety, health and compliance professionals with a wide range of responsibilities such as plant operations and safety committee members. This in-depth outreach course covers specific OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to general industry and teaches safety awareness which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. Intended for workers with some safety responsibility, the 30-hour training covers safety and health hazards workers may face in industrial work sites. Instructor: Bob Helms OSHA authorized instructor (Wednesdays) Apr 8, 15, 22 & 29-8:00 am 4:30 pm - Location: Floyd or Polk Campus (TBD) Forklift Operator/Instructor Certification $109/$599 per person If your company has a need to train forklift operators on an ongoing basis, then certifying one or more employees as instructors may be your best solution. Our Forklift Instructor Certification course provides a three year operator license as well as instructor certification. The first day consists of operator certification. The second day is devoted to techniques for one on one and classroom training. Each Student Will Receive: (1) Forklift Operators Card valid for 3 years from completion date, (2) Forklift Train The Trainer Card with no expiration date, (3) Instructors Manual with all forms, quizzes, etc in 3-ring binder for easy duplication, (4) electronic copy of forms, (5) PowerPoint Presentation with further forklift training media, (6) Written copy of basic Forklift Safety Training Program (meets OSHA approval and all compliance guidelines) will be included in Trainer s Manual. This self-paced training program is available in 6 month and 1 year subscriptions. Skills assessments are also available at an additional cost. Electrical Maintenance Trouble-shooting (32 hours) Introduces diagnostic techniques related to electrical malfunctions. Special attention is given to use of safety precautions during troubleshooting procedures. Topics include: problem diagnosis, advanced schematics, and sequential troubleshooting procedures. (Tuesday /Thursday) June 23 July 16-4:30-8:30pm Location: Walker Campus Instructor: Scott Spears Intro to PLC Programming: Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 (32 hours) An introductory level class covering the basics of programming the Allen-Bradley SLC 500 family of Programmable Logic Controllers, including the MicroLogix series of micro-controllers. Topics include timers, counters, & other typical relay ladder logic circuits using the RS-Logix 500 Software package. Intended for personnel with prior motor control/industrial experience in a related field. (Monday /Wednesday) March 2 25-4:30-8:30pm Location: Floyd Campus Instructor: Bill Scoggin Basic Motor Controls (32 hours) An introductory level course covering the basics of industrial motor controls including 2 and 3 wire control circuits, schematic symbols, & drawing conventions. Other topics include relay ladder logic techniques, timers, counters, & programmable logic relays. (Tuesday /Thursday) February 24 March 19-4:30-8:30pm Location: Walker Campus Instructor: Scott Spears (Tuesday /Thursday) March 3 26-4:30-8:30pm Location: Floyd Campus Instructor: Dick Tanner 2D CAD Drafting for Maintenance Personnel (32 hours) An introductory course in drafting techniques for industrial maintenance technicians concentrating on the practical development of ladder logic diagrams, control panel layouts, and field installation drawings using the Solid Edge 2D Drafting software package. Solid Edge is freely available as an internet download, is compatible with the AutoCAD file format, and is ideal for maintenance employees who need to design, fabricate, install, or maintain industrial equipment. Suitable for maintenance personnel with previous training in electrical and mechanical maintenance practices. (Monday /Wednesday) April 6 29-4:30-8:30pm Location: Floyd Campus Intro to PLC Programming: Automation Direct (32 hours) Instructor: Bill Scoggin An introductory level class covering the basics of programming the Automation Direct family of Programmable Logic Controllers. Topics include timers, counters, and other typical relay ladder logic circuits using the DirectSoft32 Software package. Intended for personnel with prior motor control or industrial experience in a related field. (Tuesday /Thursday) April 7 30-4:30-8:30pm Location: Floyd Campus Instructor: Dick Tanner Intro to Smart Relay Programming Teco SG2 series (32 hours) An introductory level class covering the basics of programming the Teco SG2 Programmable Logic Relay (PLR). Topics include timers, counters, & other circuits using both relay ladder logic & function block logic with the SG2-Client software package. Intended for personnel with some prior motor control or industrial experience in a related field. No prior PLC programming experience is needed. (Monday /Wednesday) May 11 June 3-4:30-8:30pm Location: Floyd Campus Instructor: Bill Scoggin Intro to PLC Programming: Siemens (32 hours) An introductory level class covering the basics of programming the Siemens S7-1200 family of Programmable Logic Controllers. Topics include timers, counters, and other typical relay ladder logic circuits using the Portal 11 Software package. The Siemens touch screen HMI device will also be used during the course to interface with the PLC programs written.
