ABOUT THE CONFERENCE Global destinations cannot isolate from the problems like natural disasters and crises that involve widespread human, material, economic or environment impacts which exceed the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources. The need of the hour is to identify a proactive understanding of how smart and sustainable destination management systems can be developed. Also to develop crises and disaster management approaches to assess and mitigate risks to reduce the impact of and assist in the recovery of tourism, trade, sustainability, peace and economics. Guidelines for extended abstract Selection of papers / case studies shall be based on the extended abstract of upto 400 words indicating the purpose, research methodology, major findings, implications and key references. The abstract should be in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman, 12 pt size indicating the name, affiliation, email id and contact details of all the authors. The co-authors too need to be physically present to be entitled to obtain the certificate of presentation.

The programme was started as a part of the department of Management Studies. Within four years of its existence, the programme was able to establish its own credentials among the academia and the industry. Looking into the success of the programme, University of Jammu establish the Center for Hospitality and Tourism Management on 27 th July 2005 that is upgraded to School since 2009, with an objective to develop tourism professionals and promote research. In the year 2010, BBA (Hotel Management) course was introduced in the department to train the students for hospitality sector. The BBA (Hotel Management) programme of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu is a mixture of knowledge, personal development and networking. It is designed to give each student a comprehensive understanding of current issues in the hospitality sector and considerable attention to developing skills. In pursuit of excellence, School of Hospitality& Tourism Management is committed to produce competent professionals, who are dynamic and responsible enough to assume offices in various managerial and administrative cadres in different tourism and related organizations. ABOUT JAMMU Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state of the Indian union. It has two capitals- Jammu, the winter capital and Srinagar, the summer capital. Tourism is the largest industry in Jammu as in the rest of the state. It is also a focal point for the pilgrims going to Vaishno Devi and Kashmir valley as it is second last railway terminal in North India. All the routes leading to Kashmir, Poonch, Doda and Laddakh start from Jammu city. So throughout the year the city remains full of people from all the parts of India. Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts are world famous and has a huge industry. The handicrafts of Jammu & Kashmir include some vibrant hand-made crafts, which symbolize the cultural significance of the state.
