Special Events held during the Month of November 2017 at NIEPMD Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week: NIEPMD observed the vigilance Awareness week from 30 th Oct 4 th November 2017. To mark the occasion it organized various programs. On 30 th November 2017, Vigilance awareness week batches were distributed to all staff, students, Persons with Disabilities and parents of PwDs. The Vigilance awareness banners and posters were displayed in and around the campus also uploaded in the Social Media (viz. Facebook and Twitter). To administer Integrity e-pledge NIEPMD Set up 2 special counters through online portal in the Reception are from 30 th Oct 3 rd November 2017. Dr.Himangashu Das, Director NIEPMD inaugurated the facility on 30 th October 2017 and presented the Integrity pledge certificates to the public. About 235 persons were issued Integrity e-pledge certificates. As part the awareness creation about Vigilance Awareness week Celebration among School students, the HRD Trainees of NIEPMD(B.Ed and M.Ed), went to the Govt. High Schools of Kovalam, Nemeli, Kelambakkam, and Uthandi during 30 th Oct 3 rd November 2017 and organized various program on Anti corruption viz. Dance, Speech, mimes, Quiz competitions, Slogan and Poster presentation. About 510 students were participated the said program. The Signature campaign conducted on 31 st November 2017. The Separate Signature banner has been designed and erected in the Reception area for Rehabilitation Professionals, student trainees and Parents of PwDs. The Essay Writing, Elocution, Slogan and Poster competition has been organized for Staff, HRD students, Parents of PwDs on from 1 st and 2 nd November 2017. The Prizes and certificates has been distributed to the participants by Smt. Vimala Rani, Mangger, CSR, Indian Corporate officer, Chennai on 17 th November 2017.

RCI Act meet: Meet on Proposed New Act of RCI was held at NIEPMD on 8 th November 2017 under the Charirpersonship of Shri.Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, Chair person, RCI, New Delhi. NBER Meeting. NIEPMD organized the workshop on Leadership An overview of the Leadership Essentials based on Globally recognised Modules at NIEPMD on 22 nd November 2017.
Awareness Generation / Distribution and other camps organized: NIEPMD organized a Cancer Awareness program for mothers having children with Special needs in association with Indian Bank Corporate Communications, Royapettah, Chennai at NIEPMD on 17 th November 2017. Smt. Vimala Rani, Indian Bank Mangager, CSR, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Smt.S.Arockia mary, Awareness cum Screening Co-ordinator, Penn Nalam Hospital gave an elaborate lecture about the major types of cancer commonly seen in Females, Cervical and Breast Cancer. She Spoke about the importance of Screening, self testing related to breast cancer and the detailed scanning through mammogram. About 100 participants attended the program.
STQC Certificate: NIEPMD received Website Quality Certificate for Quality level - 1 under Standardization, Testing and Quality Certificate (STQC) Website Scheme from Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, New Delhi. The validity period of the certificate is 3 years from the date of issue. Observance of Constitution Day: As per the direction by DEPwDs, MSJ&E, GOI Order No:F.No:A-42018/121/2017-Estt., dated 23 rd November 2017, NIEPMD observed Constitution Day on 24 th November 2017. To mark the Occasion Preample pledge was taken in English as well as Hindi by Staff and students.
Sports Meet: NIEPMD organized the 1 st Inter College Sports Meet of NIEPMD at NIEPMD during 29 th 30 th November 2017. The Students of College of Physiotherapy, College of occupational Therapy, Audiology, Speech Language and Pathology, College of Education participated in the Meet. The various sports events has been conducted for the students as well as staffs. The
Events like. Athletic, High jump, Long jump, Shot Put, Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Kho-kho, Table Tennis, Carrom, Tennikot, Kabbadi and Chess. Dr.Shakti Prasad Das, Director, SVNIRTAR, Orissa formally declared the Sports meet on 28 th November 2017.
