Sports Exercise and Health Science Course Sports, exercise and Health science (SIBS Sports IB Science) is an experimental science that combines academic study with the acquisition of practical and investigative skills. It is an applied science course within the group 4 sciences, with aspects of biological and physical science being studied in the specific context of sports, exercise and health. This one year SL course incorporates the traditional disciplines of anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition, which are studied in the context of sports exercise and health. This course helps prepare students for future studies in many health care related fields.
IB Global Politics The course explores fundamental political concepts such as power, liberty and equality, in a range of contexts and at a variety of levels. It allows students to develop an understanding of the local, national, international and global dimensions of political activity, as well as allowing them the opportunity to explore political issues affecting their own lives. The global politics course helps students to understand abstract political concepts by grounding them in real world examples and case studies. The course also invites comparison between such examples and case studies to ensure a transnational perspective. It encourages dialogue and debate, nurturing the capacity to interpret competing and contestable claims. IB Global Politics has four compulsory units in addition to the engagement activity: Peace and Conflict International Relations Development Human Rights
