8620 SPECTRUM CENTER BLVD. SAN DIEGO, CA 9212 Welcome to ASHFORD UNIVERSITY s articulation agreements offer transferring students the opportunity to carry with them the credit they have already earned to pursue academic and professional goals through any one of the Bachelor s degrees offered at. This Articulation Agreement, in the spirit of cooperation, offers students a structure through which transfer articulation on all levels can be supported and includes the following benefits for the transferring student: UP TO 90 APPROVED CREDITS Past efforts and life experiences are valuable; students may be able to transfer both traditional and non-traditional credits into their chosen academic major. They can transfer up to 90 approved credits, including a maximum of 75 non-traditional credits (subject to state law), toward a Bachelor s degree. ASSOCIATE S DEGREES/ Block earned as part of an Associate degree where a student meets the general education requirements for Bachelor of Arts degrees offered through state universities are accepted as fulfilling all and competency requirements of a Bachelor s program, with the exception of the Capstone. If a student s Associate degree does not meet the above requirement, the Registrar s Office will still evaluate the degree and deem it acceptable to meet all and competency requirements. AWARD OF UPPER DIVISION CREDIT If students transfer lower-division credits beyond what is required for an Associate s degree, or if the lower division credits are equivalent to designated upper division course content, these courses may be evaluated by and, where appropriate, they may be applied toward major courses. REVERSE TRANSFER will participate, when applicable, in the reverse transfer process for those students who transferred prior to completing an associate degree. The student will be offered the opportunity to earn said degree via the reverse transfer process. DEGREE MAPS In addition to the benefits outlined above, view the Degree Maps below for select programs transferring into. These degree maps will show potential Ashford students how their completed general education and program coursework can transfer into Ashford University s four year programs. These programs are not the only options. See the entire list of Ashford programs. Experience a new way of learning through the innovative online experience at and earn the degree you ve always wanted. The experience provides: ONLINE CLASSROOM Students earn their degree online. With 2/7 access to the Student Portal, students can access the online classroom, connect with instructors and other students in online discussions, and check their degree progress.
