The 20113 CT State HS Sailing Championship was held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at the USCGA in New London, CT. There were 16 CT schools and 4 out-of-state schools that participated. Everyone arrived bright and early only to wait for the dying northerly and the forecasted southerly. Right on schedule the southerly came in strong at 1100 and racing began. The wind remained steady starting at 15 knots and finished the day at 10 knots. Four races were completed with A-Fleet in FJ and B-Fleet in C420. A quick lunch break followed and the fleets switched for the remaining 5 races. All races were once around modified triangles. Racing was very clean with many 720s on the water and only one protest, which was heard and disallowed. The race committee of CGA Cadets did a great job keeping the line and course square while keeping things moving. Special thanks to all of the USCGA Cadets that took time out of their busy schedule and studying of finals to run a great regatta. Congratulations to Greenwich HS for winning the 2013 CT State Championship. 2013 CT State HS Championship U.S. Coast Guard Academy April 27, 2013 FINAL RESULTS 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 TOT 1 Greenwich HS A 2 3 8 3 1 3 6 2 5 33 Greenwich, CT B 6 6 4 4 6 2 2 3 3 36 8 17 29 36 43 48 56 61 69 69 2 Red Bank Regional HS A 11 8 4 2 5 2 1 3 4 40 Red Bank, NJ B 3 2 1 2 9 1 6 2 4 30 14 24 29 33 47 50 57 62 70 70 3 Hotchkiss School A 15 1 10 1 2 5 9 7 3 53 Lakeville, CT B 1 1 2 3 7 8 1 1 1 25 16 18 30 34 43 56 66 74 78 78 4 Staples HS A 4 7 1 9 6 7 7 4 10 55 Westport, CT B 2 4 5 1 1 3 7 4 2 29
