Volunteer Opportunities Join PTA! They are the best and are looking to fill positions for this school year. Shahr Kader PTA President Jennifer Howe, literacy specialist, Literacy Links. Would you like to do some cutting, stapling, gluing at home?? Let your child s teacher know via email.

New Dismissal Procedures If walking or driving through carpool, you (or whoever is picking up your child) must have your child's orange dismissal card visible for teachers to see. All 3 rd grade walkers will go out the back door in the third grade hallway, unless directed otherwise by a parent. If you do not have your orange dismissal card, your student will stay in our care while you go into the office and show your ID. The office will give you a slip of paper to give to the teacher, and then your student can be dismissed. VERY IMPORTANT: If someone, other than you, is picking your student up, and they do not have an orange dismissal card; they must be listed in your student's file as someone allowed to pick-up your student when they go into the office to show their ID.

Safety Information Always use crosswalks when crossing Mission Ridge or driveway area. NO left turn out of carpool drive during dropoff or pickup hours. This slows traffic! A little courtesy goes a long, long way! After school at our playground children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed on school property.

The only students that will be assessed at the BOY are transfer students from outside of Plano that were previously identified GT in another district. 1) ALL PACE REFERRALS K-5 ARE DUE OCTOBER 17, 2018 The good news is that we will have COGAT results for 1 st, 3 rd, & 5 th grade prior to testing which will help with identification in those grade levels. a. If parents ask for the PACE referral form please send it to them electronically. We are attempting to collect all referrals electronically if possible. Referral link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1faipqlsfiwwitvqjauogm06sq868vdjtz3gl98cfmg8yibulb0s_ WwQ/viewform 1) The PACE assessment window for k-5 will be from October 22-November 16 th - This means that October 22-November 16 th PACE will be on an adjusted schedule to accommodate testing. 1) Placement letters will be mailed to parents on January 7 th 1) Students that are placed into PACE after the assessment window will begin coming to PACE the week of January 14 th.
