FROM TE PRINCIPAL S DESK As another year draws to a close it is a good time to reflect on the past twelve months. There is no better way of doing this than to attend our Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday 1 December and the Final School Assembly on Thursday 13 December, both begin at 9.00am. A feature of these events is the presentation of awards to students who have performed well throughout the year. It is also a good opportunity to farewell our Year 6 students and wish them all the best as they head off to high school in 019. We recently sent out over 100 invitations to a thank you morning tea for volunteers who have worked in our school this year. It is fantastic that so many people are involved in our school on a voluntary basis. Many things happen in our school that would not be possible without this level of support. I am pleased to hear so many say how much they enjoy coming into our school and working with our students. It is also a great lesson for our students to learn regarding the value of helping others. In addition to our volunteers our staff work tirelessly to ensure we create the best possible learning environment for all of the students that attend our school. Many work way above the call of duty because they are so committed to getting the best outcomes for our students. I m sure you join with me in thanking them for the wonderful job they do for Adam Road students. With the summer holidays fast approaching I hope your family can find time to enjoy activities together. The break also provides a good opportunity for students to seek ways that they can help others around them. This will leave plenty of time for fun and rest so everyone comes back next year refreshed and ready for another busy school year. GUY ASSER PRINCIPAL TIS WEEK S ASSEMBLY Room 1, Year /6 at.1pm With the end of term and school year approaching it s now time to return all library books. Thank you to those who have already returned their books. The library is open from 8am to 3.30pm for returns. In the event that books are unable to be located, then payment towards the cost of replacing the book/s would be appreciated. If you have any queries please see or phone Mrs Taylor in the library. BOOK SWAP BRING A BOOK TAKE A BOOK As the library is now closed for student borrowing consider the BOOK SWAP, an inexpensive way for children to obtain new books, recycle books they ve finished and encourage reading for pleasure. 3
