INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES OFFERED ADMISSION TO M.PHIL.-PH.D./PH.D. PROGRAMMES - 2017-18 1. It must be noted that mere issuance of Hall Ticket, allowing a candidate to appear in the entrance examination and complete the process of provisional admission does not entitle a candidate for confirmed admission if she/he fails to fulfil the required eligibility conditions for admission as prescribed in the Prospectus for Academic Year 2017-18. This will be verified at the time of admission and subsequently at any stage during the pursuance of the course/programme or thereafter. If it is found at any time that a candidate does not fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements, the provisional admission or degree shall stand cancelled forthwith. 2. Selected candidates are required to complete the enrolment online by following the web-link provided on the CUG admission website. The candidate should fill the online forms and declarations as listed below and demo of the process is available on the webpage between 10 th August to 15 th August 2017. a. Enrolment form b. Identity card form c. Fee payment d. Anti-ragging declaration e. Upload scanned copy of qualifying certificates and documents e.g. qualifying mark-sheet and degree, high school certificate or birth certificate, cast certificate where required. 3. After filling the forms and uploading the above documents online, a PDF file will be generated. Candidates need to print all the PDF documents thus generated and bring the hard copies along with originals and one set of attested copies of certificates including mark sheets, degree certificates (from High School onwards). Migration/Transfer Certificate should be submitted in original. Candidates should report in person for verification of the documents to Admission department, Central University of Gujarat, Sector-29 campus from 12 th August to 18 th August, 2017. 4. After the successful verification of all the documents the students will be given provisional admission to the programme of study she/he has qualified. A candidate will only be admitted to one programme of study even if she/he has qualified to more than one programme. Usually change of programme is not allowed once the admission to a programme of study has been taken.
5. Online enrolment is being implemented to help students come prepared to start attending the classes and save the students from several trip from home to University and back. 6. The candidates under reserved category, i.e. SC, ST, KM and PWD should produce the certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority in support of their claim without which their claim will not be considered. OBC candidates shall be required to submit latest OBC certificate in the Govt. of India prescribed format in support of their claim issued by a competent authority, without which their claim shall not be considered for admission under OBC category. Candidates under OBC category are required to note that OBC certificate format prescribed by the Govt. of India is different from the BC certificate issued by the respective State Government/s. Therefore, candidates belonging to Non-creamy Layer OBC category should submit only the OBC certificate but not the BC certificate. 7. As mentioned in the prospectus, the University does not guarantee hostel accommodation to all the students admitted to various courses. No student admitted to University can claim the Hostel seat as a matter of right. If hostel seat is allotted, the student has to pay the hostel fee separately.
