Cat II 01 UR Technical Assistant (T-3) (Library/ Information) in the Pay Band I : Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800 Bachelor s degree in Agriculture any other branch of Science/Social Science relevant to Agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Bachelor s Degree in Library Science /Library & Information Science or equivalent qualification. Desirable Qualification: (i) Experience of working in the relevant field in a University / Institute / Council or any other organization of repute. (iii) Knowledge of Photography. Age Limit (a) (b) (c) The age limit for the post of Category II (T-3) is 18 to 30 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit and qualification will be the closing date of application. There will be no age limit for the employees of the Councils. The RA s / SRF s who have been engaged on contractual basis by different Projects of ICAR IIWM / ICAR Institutes / ICAR without break for less than six months as on date be considered with their qualifications by granting them appropriate relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of their spell they were actually engaged as RA s/srf s fulfilling conditions as mentioned in ICAR Order No. 19(25)/2011 E.IV dated 24.01.2012 (maximum of 16 years 3 months). This age relaxation is available in respect of T-3 post only. This dispensation is only for relaxing the maximum age limit and does not imply any other relaxation whatsoever, regarding essential qualifications / experience etc. The upper age limit against reserve post is relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC as permissible under the rules against reserved posts for respective category only (5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PHC). (d) Age relaxation for Physically Handicapped candidates is applicable to 10 years (15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs) (e) The crucial date for determining the age limit & qualification in each case will be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS F THE ABOVE POSTS: 1. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and enhanced qualification does not entail candidates to be called for written test. Where the number of applications received in response to the advt. are large and it will not be convenient or possible for the Institute to call all those candidates for written test, the Director, ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to fix the criteria for calling the candidates on the basis of qualification, experience etc. after screening the applications, the candidates will be called for written test.

These posts are non-government under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, which is an autonomous body and will be governed by New Pension Scheme 2004 introduced by Govt. of India with other service conditions mutatis-mutandis and as amended from time to time. 3. All posts are temporary but likely to continue. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for these posts with regard to qualifications and age etc. 4. Persons already in employment should route their application through proper channel and application received directly will liable to be rejected. 5. No correspondence will be entertained from any candidates for selection/test/interview/appointment. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. 6. Candidates are advised to send self attested copies of each certificate or any other authentic document in support of their age along with mark-sheets and other caste certificates etc. with their applications. 7. The application should be submitted to the Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Opp. Rail Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar-751023 in the proforma appended strictly type-written accompanied by a latest pass-port size photograph duly attested along with Examination fee (Non-refundable) of Rs.100/- (One Hundred Only) for each post is to be sent in the shape of Bank Draft drawn in favour of ICAR-UNIT-IIWM payable at Bhubaneswar issued after the date of publication of Advertisement & written on the back the name of the Candidate, post name & Sl. No. Candidates belonging to SC/ST & PH are not required to pay any fee. Women candidates are also exempted to pay application fee, OBC candidates are not exempted and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee. The closing date for receipt of application will be 30 days from the date of publication of Advertisement in Employment News. 9. Application not accompanied by the prescribed fee or incomplete or defective or unsigned declaration or without certified copies of their certificates i.e. without proof of qualification, age and caste certificate shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances. 10. The candidates are required to declare the relative s name of the employee/s if any, working in ICAR-IIWM / any other ICAR Institutes/ICAR in the application form. 11. The candidates may submit their application strictly in the prescribed proforma as published in Employment News papers, fill up the Column in their own handwriting. The envelope containing the application form should super-scribed in bold letters as Application for the post of Sl. No. as the case may be separate application should be submitted for each post and Serial No. of other posts(s) if applied, more than one post on each application form in the column provided with prescribed fee. 12. The selected candidates will be posted at respective station mentioned against each post. However, appointee will be liable to serve in any Institute(s) of ICAR located anywhere in India to begin with. 13. Application received after due date for any reason including postal delay will be summarily rejected.

The Director, ICAR IIWM reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies, change any of the conditions, change the dates of written test and reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof, whatsoever 15. Scheme of Examination: The written test will be of 100 marks and of objective type and the duration of the test will be two hours as detailed below: Paper / Section Subject Max. The questions in Section 1, 2 & 4 will be of level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation and questions in Paper 3 will be of 10 th standard level. There will be no interview for the post of Technical Assistant (T-3) and after the completion of the written test, the result will be published according to the available vacancies on the basis of the merit.
