From The Principal s Desk Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Ajmer is a dynamic, nurturing and vibrant learning community that embraces a diversity of cultural and social backgrounds. The children of our Vidyalaya are wonderful and special; they are the lifeblood of our school. They embody the aspirations of the Vidyalaya as enthusiastic, charismatic, charming students of Primary Section with an appetite for learning and thirst for knowledge. We know that children who are happy and secure in their learning environment are children who are more likely to achieve their potential. The team of dedicated staff working together ensures that the best opportunities are available to all of our students. The teachers contributes opportunity for all the young children to our school to value respect, responsibility kindness honesty and pride that are supported by a range of activities under the Common Minimum Programme including Co-curricular activities, Games & Sports, Film shows, Class Library etc. Our shared commitment to learning is well supported by the home and school partnership as we believe working together optimizes the potential of individuals. With a focus on developing the whole child, it is paramount that a student s wellbeing (social, emotional, physical, behavioural and creative developments) is balanced against their academic learning goals and personal interests. We focus on the core curriculum endeavour to provide students with engaging and challenging programs through Activity Based Teaching. Our school also aims to equip students with the lifelong skills to be successful learners in the 21stCentury and this underpins our engaging and challenging learning programs. GROWTH IS OUR BREATH, AND TO EXCEL IS OUR MISSION. A Word From The Head Mistress The implementation of Common Minimum Programme in the primary section is the root of the primary education. The activity based teaching makes the classroom living, enjoyable, meaningful effective and innovative. The fortnightly screening of the film shows breaks the monotony, inculcates values like team spirit, cooperation, patience etc. It enhances the thinking and reasoning skills. The C.C.A and games and sports are part of the non-scholastic curriculum of a learner in K.V. 2, Ajmer. In this era of information technology, Computer based teaching is playing commendable role to bridge the gap between haves and have not s in teachinglearning process. Reading habits is developed among the students through the class library. To develop the constructive attitude, enrichment of the vocabulary, enhancing the students imaginative, creative and thinking skills various activities such as poem recitation, quiz, storytelling, news reading, etc. competitions were conducted. Art education plays an important role in the growth of the personality of a learner at all stages of development. The dedicated and devoted team of primary strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that brings joy in learning; where the students are encouraged to explore their potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life.
