SUBJECT: ENGLISH Listening Skill: Ask your parent to get you a story book. Ask them to read for you portions from it every day. Listen carefully and try to remember as many words as you can. Download the app Jolly phonics from the android play store. Do the listening part from the app. Speaking Skill: Reading Skill: Writing Skill: Grammar: Ask your parent/sibling/relative/friend to be your partner. Talk about various day-to-day activities/happenings around you. Read a story book/novel of your choice. Read Lessons 1 & 2 of your text book. Read chapter 1 to 10 from Briar Rose. Write summaries of chapters 1 to 5 from Briar Rose. Do 1 Page of cursive writing daily. Write five formal and five informal letters of your choice. Practice the following topics at home Nouns and its kind Pronouns Adjectives and degrees Verbs Write a paragraph on the following (30 to 40 words): a) My school b) My first friend c) What makes you laugh? d) People around you Represent the 8 parts of speech diagrammatically. SUBJECT: MATHEMATICS Do the following chapters on separate notebook. 1. Place value 2. Addition, Subtraction & their application Observe and collect pictures of 10 things around you in the nature having some mathematical concepts. For example: star fish having symmetrical shape, planet s having spherical shape etc. Paste their picture on an A4 sheet and also write the mathematical concepts involved in studying the shapes. Use colourful pictur es to make it interesting. India has greatly contributed to the world in the field of Mathematics. Make a creative collage on any 5 concepts given by Indians that revolutionized the world of Mathematics. The rivers of India play an important role in the life of Indians. They provide irrigation water, drinking water, electricity and easy transportation. In a thin scrapbook, do the following activities: 1) Write the names of ten important rivers of India. Write down their lengths in kilometers. 2) Write the number names of the lengths of these rivers. 3) Paste the pictures of these rivers in order of ascending order of their lengths. 4) Write the lengths of these rivers in the place value chart. Learn the tables from 2 to 20. Draw family tree up to 3rd Generation. Use your creativity to make different sea animals, using geometrical shapes from coloured paper.
