Prescribed qualification/experience Sl. In case of non-availability of candidates with qualification of MD in Geriatric Medicine the candidates with M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto with 03 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying Degree of MD in Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto, will be considered. 02 Assistant Professor of Pulmonary Medicine & Sleep Disorders ii) D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto And/Or M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto with 3 years training in the discipline of Pulmonary Medicine from a recognized Institution. (iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years recognized Degree of D.M. in Pulmonary Medicine or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto. 9

03 Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 04 Assistant Professor of Medicine i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the ii) iii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.D. in Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Three years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 05 Assistant Professor of Paediatrics ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD. In Paediatrics or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the above disciplines. iii) 03 years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Paediatrics or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 10

06 Assistant Professor of Surgery ii) (iii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.S. in Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto Three years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of MS in Surgery or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 07 Assistant Professor of Obs. & Gynae. ii) A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D/MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS in Obst. & Gynae. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 08 Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.S. in Orthopaedics or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a obtaining the qualifying degree of M.S. in Orthopaedics or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 09 Assistant Professor of E.N.T. ii) A postgraduate qualification e.g. MS in E.N.T. or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.S. in E.N.T. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.. 11

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CONTRACT APPOINTMENT FOR FACULTY POSTS 1. The appointment is purely on CONTRACT BASIS for a period of six months or till such time the regular appointments against these vacant posts are made, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of joining. Thereafter, the contract will lapse automatically. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side, by giving one month s notice or by paying one month s salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete the period of three months to the satisfaction of competent authority. 2. The consolidated remuneration will be Rs.1,00,000/- per month. 3. The appointee shall perform the duties assigned to him/her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra/additional allowance will be admissible in case of such assignment. 4. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Government Servants, appointed on regular basis. 5. The appointee will not be granted any claim or right for regular appointment to any post at AIIMS. 6. The appointee shall be on the whole time appointment of the Medical Institution and shall not accept any other assignment, paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private practice of any kind during the period of contract. 7. The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority. 8. Leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of instructions contained in DOPT&T s O.M. No.12016/3/84-Estt.(L) dated the 12 th April, 1985 as amended by OM No. 12016/1/96-Estt(L) dated the 5 th July, 1990. 9. On appointment, the appointee will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India or make a solemn affirmation to that effect in the prescribed proforma. 10. The appointee is not entitled to any T.A. for attending the interview and joining the appointment. 11. Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time. 12. If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves false or if he/she is found to have wilfully suppressed any material, information, he/she will be liable for removal from service and also such other action as the Government may deem necessary. 13. The appointee shall not be entitled to avail any allowances/facilities being extended to the regular/permanent faculty members of the AIIMS. 12
