Mrs Catterall will be replaced by Sue Field. LEARNING POWERS This week each class explored being Focussed Next week we will look at being Risk Takers in our learning. NAPLAN NAPLAN Assessments are over for this year. Great work by our Year Three and Year Fives they were focussed and persistent in their approach to the four activities. Thanks to the Joe, Athanasia, Annie, Mary Jo, Kimberley and Anne-Marie for their preparation and organisation of this year s NAPLAN. We can expect the results to arrive late in Term 3. MOTHER S DAY STALL Once all costs were taken out we are very happy to tell you that the Mother s Day stall raised just over $800. We are still deciding the best use of this money. One suggestion is to put it towards our Book Week activities. SCHOOL COUNSELLOR We are very happy to welcome Marissa Wu to St Monica s for the next two months. Marissa is a Provisionally Registered psychologist working on her doctorate at Melbourne University. She is the first student to work with us as part of our new partnership with Melbourne University. Marissa is under the supervision of Vivienne Wisniewski a fully qualified psychologist. Marissa will be working with children across all classes on Monday morning and all day Wednesday. She is qualified to administer assessments and provide counselling. If you feel your child would benefit from such services please contact your child s class teacher, Paula or Karen. COMMUNITY CONVERSATION WHAT DO YOU THINK? Each year parents complete a School Improvement Survey. We are interested in finding out what the ideas and thoughts were behind your responses. We are holding two more conversations and you are invited to come to one and share your thoughts. This week we are holding conversations on Wednesday morning 9-10.00am and 6.30 7.30 pm (with a light supper before). Reply on paper, via the form on Skoolbag App or email Mary Jo mjfish@smfootscray.catholic.edu.au or Karen principal@smfootscray.catholic.edu.au. This is especially important if you are coming for dinner! PUPIL FREE DAY CARE YLV, our after school care program, will be offering care on our school closure day on Friday 22 June. If you are interested please make sure you enrol your child through the YLV website...https://ylv.com.au/parents/ FEES AND LEVIES 2018 Family Fees In 2018 our school fees will be $1372 per family, per year. ($1330 if paid before the end of February) Fees can be paid in one amount at the beginning of the year or each term; $343 per term (or $333 per term - if paid in the first 2 weeks of term). Student Tuition Levies In 2018 the Tuition Levies for each child will be $395 per child ($305 for books & resources + $90 for excursions). Parents who have a current Healthcare Card can apply to receive the State Government Camps and School Excursion Fund which pays the Excursion Levy and can be used to help pay for camps.

THIS WEEK S EXTRAS PRAYER Sunday is Pentecost when we celebrate and remember the coming of the Holy Spirit to the community of Jesus s followers.
