Through the use of classic stories and improvisation, your child will learn the basic skills needed to better express his or herself on stage and off. ACTING II-A A second level acting class for Ages 6-8 Mondays 4:00-4:45 p.m./wilder Elementary, Room 3 (2526 South Hillsboro, Springfield, MO 65804) An acting class designed for the confident youngster who has completed introductory classes and/or workshops. ACT/TEEN is a supportive, engaging class where students at any level are met where they are, and challenged with monologues, scene work, and improvisation. ADULT ACTING and IMPROVISATION Acting for Adults Thursdays 5:30-6:50 p.m./slt 3 rd Floor Small Studio (311 East Walnut, Springfield, MO 65806) Learn the basics of voice, movement, and character, in a no-stress, supportive environment, or brush up your chops after some time away from the stage. Nothing to prepare - practice with "cold readings" and monologues provided by the instructor. This is your chance to leave the real world behind!

Learn how to use your voice correctly while singing as a character and present your best in an audition. OTHER SIX-WEEK SESSION OPEN CLASSES WEE DANCE. WEE PLAY. Parent Assisted Movement and Theatre Class for Ages 18 months-3 years Thursdays, 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m./slt Third Floor Large Studio (311 East Walnut, Springfield, MO 65806) BROADWAY BABIES Musical Theatre for Ages 4-5 Thursdays, 5:20-6:00 p.m./slt Third Floor Large Studio (311 East Walnut, Springfield, MO 65806) An exciting exploration of play acting for the very young child. This class encourages your child to have confidence in his or her ideas and abilities, develop concentration skills, and learn to work with others. Combines acting, singing, and movement. OBSERVATION The last half of the last day of a 6-week open session SLT Education Class is set aside as an opportunity for students to informally share some of what they ve learned during the six-week session. Family and friends are invited to attend the demonstrations to enjoy the process that is theatre education. On the final day of the session, students are asked to arrive at the regular start time and parents are invited in to watch the last twenty minutes. SLT Classes will not meet when Springfield Public Schools are cancelled by the district for inclement weather. SLT SIX-WEEK SESSION CLASSES SESSION I: September 11-October 23 Classes will not meet Monday, October 16. SESSION II: October 30-December 14 Classes will not meet Monday, November 6; Tuesday, November 7; Wednesday, November 22; Thursday, November 23; or Friday, November 24 SESSION III: January 8-February 15 SESSION IV: February 19-April 5 Classes will not meet Friday, March 9; Monday, March 12; Tuesday, March 13; Wednesday, March 14; Thursday, March 15; or Friday, March 16 SESSION V: April 9-May 17 TUITION: $60 for one Open 6-Week session of classes $110 for two complete courses in one Open 6-Week session of classes $150 for three complete courses in one Open 6-week session of classes $180 for unlimited courses for one student in one Open 6-week session of classes (Pre-Professional Track, Troupe Tuition, and REFIT rates differ.) T-SHIRTS Springfield Little Theatre ACTOR IN TRAINING T-shirts may be purchased for $20.00 at the time of registration. All proceeds from the sale of these shirts go to the SLT scholarship fund. Shirts will be delivered to students by the fourth week of the session. CLASS REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND POLICIES Registration Procedure: Pre-registration is required. Payment: Full payment is required in order to secure your space in class. Class Confirmation: If you provide an e-mail address, you will receive confirmation of enrollment. Cancellation by SLT: We reserve the right to cancel class if enrollment is insufficient. Any tuition paid will be refunded in full.
