Moundsville West Virginia The Marshall County Board of Education met in special session Thursday,, 6:30 p.m., at the Board of Education Offices, all members having been notified of business to be considered. Present were: President Thomas E. Gilbert, Jr., Vice President John Miller, Members Lori E. Kestner, Dr. Duane Miller, Christie Robison; Secretary Michael Hince, Members of the County Administrative Staff. Minutes of the Regular Session, May 15, 2017, Workshop Session, May 16, 2017, and Workshop Session, May 20, 2017, were approved on motion by Dr. Miller, and seconded by Mrs. Kestner. Motion carried. Motion by Mrs. Kestner, seconded by Dr. Miller, that the Board approve to adopt FY18 Budget to be submitted to the State Department. Motion carried. Motion by Mrs. Kestner, seconded by Vice President Miller, that the Board approve the Salary Schedules for FY18. Motion carried. Motion by Mrs. Kestner, seconded by Dr. Miller, that the Board approve the Memorandum of Agreement between Marshall County Board of Education (JM Nursing Assistant Program) and Good Shepherd Nursing Home, LC. Motion carried. Motion by Dr. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Kestner and motion carried, that the Board approve the following attendance at professional meetings: Jennifer Pickett to attend KidStrong Conference, June 21-22, 2017, Charleston, WV, with expenses paid by General Funds. Nicole Shipman to chaperone students to National FBLA Conference, June 27-July 3, 2017, Anaheim, CA, with expenses paid by CTE Funds. Cheryl Ray to attend WV Statewide Technology Conference, July 18-20, 2017, Morgantown, WV, with expenses paid by CTE Funds. Todd Morris to attend PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture, June 5-16, 2017, Milwaukee, WI, with time and expenses paid by PLTW Grant and Step 7 Funds. Neumann, Proposal PG-04277 for $98,760 and Controls Agreement for $4500, for the updated JMHS renovations. Motion carried. President Gilbert announced that the Board go into executive session to discuss personnel. Motion by Mrs. Kestner, and seconded by Dr. Miller, that the Board go into executive session. Motion carried. Motion by Vice President Miller, and seconded by Dr. Miller, that the Board come out of executive session and return to special session. Motion carried.
