RESIGNATION Attachment #1 The District has received a letter of resignation from Tracy Rhoades, library aide, assigned to the High School, effective immediately. RETIREMENT Attachment #2 The District has received a letter of retirement from the following individual. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Jeffrey Miller, 2 nd Shift custodian, effective August 1 st 2016 with just under 4 years of service to the District. 5. EMPLOYMENT Attachment #3 Classified School Police The High School Principal is requesting the Board approve the employment of Mr. Daryl Bird as a School Police officer. At an hourly rate of $10.65 not exceed 28.75 hours per week. The Superintendent is recommending Board approval. Athletics Coaches The High School Principal and the Athletic Director are requesting the following individuals serve as coaches for the 2016 sport seasons. SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS The District is requesting Board approval for the following individuals to serve as volunteers in our schools pending the receipt of all clearances and participation in mandated reporter training. FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE REQUEST The District has received the following requests for Family Medical Leave and each complies with district policy and U.S. Department of Labor Guidelines. The Superintendent recommends Board approval: Employee 2016-C, is requesting a leave to commence on January 21, 2016 utilizing the Family Medical Leave Act. Employee 2016-C will return to their position on February 4, 2016. Yes: Appleman, Axtman, Grose, Hoffman, Meule, Moser, Stevens, Whitmoyer No: None Absent: Hormell Result: Motion Carried 8. CHILD REARING LEAVE REQUEST The Superintendent recommends the approval of a Child Rearing Leave for employee 2016-D. This leave will begin on March 1, 2016 and continue to the end of the 2015/16 school year. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Second: George Grose 9. SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR STUDENT 2016-2 The Superintendent recommends Board approval of the settlement agreement and release regarding student 2016-2. Second: George Grose Page 3 of 7

10. ADJUDICATION OF STUDENT 2016-1 The Superintendent recommends Board approval of the hearing report and adjudication in student disciplinary case 2016-1. Motion: Abgail Appleman Second: George Grose 11. ARCHAEOLOGICAL REVIEW- Attachment # 4 It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the Board hereby authorizes the acceptance of the February 3, 2016 proposal from Allegheny Archeology Research to perform the Phase I Cultural Resource Survey for the Warrior Run Elementary School Project and the engineering services required to complete the project by Herbert, Rowland, and Grubic Inc. Furthermore, the Board hereby authorizes the Administration to take such steps as are reasonably necessary to proceed with Plan A (Plowing Option) as set forth in the proposal as the preferred option. However, in the event that it is not feasible, within the reasonable discretion of the Superintendent, to proceed with Plan A (Plowing Option), the Board hereby authorizes the Administration to proceed with Plan B (No Plow Option) as set forth in the proposal. Yes: Axtman, Hoffman, Meule, Moser, Stevens No: Appleman, Grose, Whitmoyer 12. 2016/2017 SCHOOL DISTRICT CALENDAR Attachment # 5 The Superintendent is recommending the Board approve the school calendar for the 2016/2017 school year as presented. The calendar represents the desire to coordinate the district calendar with that of the Lycoming Career and Technology Center and to accommodate professional development and weather emergency days, both of which are spread throughout the calendar along with the traditional holiday and vacation dates. PSBA PRINCIPALS FOR GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP Attachment # 6 It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the Board approve the recommended Pennsylvania School Board Association Principals for Governance and Leadership as follows: Advocate Honestly Lead Responsibly Govern Effectively Plan Thoughtfully Evaluate Continuously Communicate Clearly Act Ethically Motion: Todd Moser Second: Abigail Appleman Page 4 of 7

LEARNING COLLABORATIVE PROPOSAL Attachment # 7 It is the recommendation of the Superintendent and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction that the Board approve the Learning Collaborative Proposal with Eduplanet21. Motion: Tamara Hoffman Second: George Grose 15. DELINQUENT TAX EXEMPTIONS Attachment # 8 The Business Manager requests Board approval of delinquent tax exemptions for personal taxes as submitted. EXONERATION OF TAX COLLECTORS Attachment # 9 The Business Manager requests exoneration for district tax collectors from collecting any more 2015 taxes. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. ADOPTION NEW POLICY - Attachment # 10 The Superintendent and the Educational Policy Committee are recommending Board approval of the new policies: Policy 706.1 Property Disposal of Obsolete/Outdated Equipment. Policy 824 Operations Maintaining Professional Adult/Student Boundaries Second: George Grose Yes: Appleman, Axtman, Grose, Hoffman, Meule, Moser, Stevens, Whitmoyer No: None Absent: Hormell Result: Motion Carried 18. 2016/2017 ATHLETIC BUDGET - Attachment # 11 It is the Superintendent s recommendation that the Board of School Directors approve the athletic operating budget in the amount of $104,795.00 for the 2016/2017 school year. This is a decrease of $460.00 from the 2015/2016 budget amount of $105,255.00. Motion: Tamara Hoffman Page 5 of 7

19. BID AUTHORIZATION FOR 2016/2017 SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The Business Manager requests authorization to advertise for bids for the 2016/2017 school year s supplies and equipment. These are instructional materials requested by instructional staff specific to their content area. The Superintendent recommends Board approval. Second: George Grose 20. FACILITY USAGE REQUESTS Attachment # 12 The District has received the following requests for use of district facilities. The Superintendent recommends approval waiving rental fees: Julie Welliver, on behalf of the Lady Defenders Basketball Boosters, are requesting use of the middle and high school gymnasiums and middle school cafeteria on March 12, 2016 to hold the annual 5 th and 6 th grade basketball tournament from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Jeff Pealer, on behalf of the Basketball Boosters, are requesting use of the middle and high school gymnasiums and middle school cafeteria on April 2, 2016 to hold the annual 5 th and 6 th grade boys basketball tournament from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Julie Welliver, on behalf of the Lady Defenders Basketball Boosters, are requesting use of the middle and high school gymnasiums and middle school cafeteria on March 13, 2016 to hold the annual 7 th and 8 th grade basketball tournament from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Cassie Gummo, on behalf of Warrior Run Football boosters are requesting the use of the Middle School gym on April 9, 2016 for Donkey Basketball fundraiser from 5pm 9:30pm. Krista Confair, on behalf of Elementary Wrestling are requesting the use of the Middle School Cafeteria on March 13, 2016 for Elementary Wrestling Banquet from 5:00pm 9:00pm. BASKETBALL CAMP REQUEST Attachment # 13 The District has received a request from Jonathan Weaver, girls basketball coach, to hold the annual 3-Man Weave Basketball Camp at Warrior Run from June 6, 2016 through June 9, 2016 (Monday through Thursday - 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) for girls in grades 3 through 11 and boys in grades 3-8. Mr. Weaver is asking for use of both the middle and high school gymnasiums for this camp. The request will include cost for facilities usage as this is a for profit camp. 22. 2014/2015 LOCAL AUDIT REPORT Attachment #14 The Business Manager recommends to the Board of School Directors approval of the 2014/2015 single audit package prepared by Herring, Roll & Solomon as submitted. Second: Tamara Hoffman 23. PROGRAMS/EMPLOYMENT STUDY The Superintendent is requesting that the School Board approve a motion directing the Superintendent and Administrative Team to study and make recommendations regarding professional staffing needs of the Warrior Run School District as follows: The School Board directs that the Superintendent and the Administration Team: a. Study the professional staffing needs of the District based upon instructional program requirements and student enrollment; and b. Determine the minimum professional staffing needs of the District for the upcoming school year based upon the foregoing studies; and c. Make recommendations to the Board during March and April, 2016, based upon the considerations set forth in the Public School Code, concerning whether any professional or temporary professional employee positions should be maintained, added, reduced or eliminated during the 2016/2017 school year; and d. If a recommendation is made for elimination or reduction of positions, implement the established procedures through termination of specific temporary and/or professional employees, obtaining such approvals from the Department of Education that may be required for the alteration or curtailment of educational programs; and e. Notify any temporary professional and professional employees who may be affected by the recommendations. f. Consult with and work with District legal counsel to insure the correctness and completeness of the process. 24. COURTESY OF THE FLOOR TO VISITORS Michael Freeborn thanked Abigail Appleman for her recent visit to Turbotville Elementary School.
