What s Inside? Trainings Project Meetings SWYLF Meade County 4-H Connections December 2017 4-H Families I Pledge My Heart... In Kansas 4-H, we repeat the 4-H Pledge at our 4-H meetings and 4-H events. During this time of giving and time with families, we frequently use our hearts to better serve our communities. What are the ways you are pledging your heart? Is your club doing something to give back to the community? Are you doing something to help others? We use our hands to learn by doing, but 4-H members also use their hearts to learn by doing. Our members are considerate of others who may be less fortunate. We think of ways that we can make the holidays a little more enjoyable for someone else. We take time to come together as a club for more than just our monthly club business. We share fellowship and enjoy spending time together. We give our hearts to others in service. In giving, we receive much more. We learn what it means to care about our communities and work together for the greater good. We learn how the little things add up and make a big difference to someone else. During this special time of year, pledge your heart not only to greater loyalty, but also to larger service, For it is in giving that we receive, Francis Assisi.
