ITEM 2015-263 Roll Call At 6:00 p.m., Mrs. Turpin, President called the meeting to order. Present: Absent: Mr. Biggs, Dr. Crumbaker, Mrs. Hamblin, Mrs. Strickland, Mrs. Turpin None ITEM 2015-264 Pledge of Allegiance Mrs. Turpin led the audience in the pledge of allegiance. ITEM 2015-265 Request to Adjourn to Executive Session It was moved by Mrs. Turpin and seconded by Mrs. Hamblin that the Board adjourn into executive session to consider the employment of a public employee or official and to confer with an attorney of the board of education concerning disputes involving the board of education that are subject of pending or imminent court action. Aye: Mrs. Turpin, Mrs. Hamblin, Mr. Biggs, Dr. Crumbaker, Mrs. Strickland The Board adjourned into executive session at 6:01 p.m. and returned to public session at 7:00 p.m. ITEM 2015-266 Welcome to Visitors and Public Participation None ITEM 2015-267 Approval of Agenda Mrs. Strickland moved and Dr. Crumbaker seconded the motion that the Board approve the agenda as amended. ITEM 2015-270 Approval of Five Year Forecast It is recommended that the Board approve the five year forecast as presented. ITEM 2015-271 Approval of Then & Now Over $3,000 It is recommended that the Board approve the payment to MSD in the amount of $4,409.26 per the invoice dated September 5, 2015. Mrs. Strickland moved and Mrs. Turpin seconded the motion to approve the following items presented by the Superintendent: ITEM 2015-274 Approval of Certificated/Licensed Personnel Matters None ITEM 2015-275 Approval of Classified Personnel Matters A. Employment It is recommended that the board employ Karley Schul on a one year limited contract as a teacher aide at Camden Primary, effective October 19, 2015 for 135 workdays, 8 paid holidays, working 7.5 hours per day, salary step 0. Aye: Mrs. Strickland, Dr. Crumbaker, Mr. Biggs, Mrs. Hamblin Abstain: Mrs. Turpin Motion carried 4-0-1 ITEM 2015-278 Informational Items from the Superintendent Mr. Ulrich updated the Board about the recent letter from ODE notifying us that we are a moderate D-F district and the Region 10 spreadsheet showing classifications. ITEM 2015-279 Business for the Board A. Old Business None B. New Business Mrs. Turpin introduced the following resolution, seconded by Mrs. Hamblin. Be it resolved by the Preble-Shawnee Local School District Board of Education as follows: 1. The Board hereby approves a performance improvement plan for Superintendent, David Ulrich. 2. The President of the Board is hereby authorized to deliver said performance improvement plan to Mr. Ulrich. Aye: Mrs. Turpin, Mrs. Hamblin, Mr. Biggs, Dr. Crumbaker, Mrs. Strickland C. Discussion Items Mr. Biggs commented about the 8 th grade girls volleyball middle school tournament referees and a concern that not enough of our teachers coach and a concern about the dress code for students not being followed.
