Please wear comfortable sports clothes with indoor trainers or bare feet. Looking for motivated students to come along and take part in dance sessions. Highly beneficial to those in Rock Challenge and to those who would like more dance experience for future Rock Challenge auditions. Sessions will start THIS FRIDAY 23rd November and run until 21st December. Please register interest with Mr O Connor ASAP to secure your place. Mr O Connor Knitting Club:- The Knitting Club has moved to Thursdays. We meet at 12:40 in the Library. Materials are provided for your first project to get you started or if you already knit/stitch/crochet, join us to help our newcomers or have some crafting time and relax yourself. Staff welcome too. Mrs Ogston Massed Children s Choir Christmas Sing:- Chalmers Mackay Music School is hosting a special Christmas Event outside the Town Hall on Saturday 1 st December between 11.00am and 12.30pm. Our Junior Singers along with choirs from some of the local Primary Schools and other groups will be singing a selection of popular Christmas songs as part of a massed children s choir. Paper, Plastic & Can Recycling:- Reminder that Thursday is recycling day. Please empty classroom recycling bins (paper/plastics/cans) in the central collection point in the front staff car park during registration. Thank you. There are 20 spaces for students who will be in S1, S2 or S3 in February 2020 (current S1 will be in S2 and current S2 will be in S3). Any student wishing to join this trip should see Mr Johnston or Mr Jones, collect a letter and then return letter and deposit by Friday 30 th November. Mr Jones/Mr Johnston S1 S3 Literacy Ambassadors Meeting:- We would like to invite all literacy ambassadors to a meeting on Thursday 22nd November at 12.45 in Room 12. Remember that this is only for our initial work. If you cannot attend, could let me or one of your fellow ambassadors know please. Bring your lunch! Miss Sarran S3 SNSA:- Next week all S3 students will undertake their Scottish National Standardised Assessments. These are assessments to gauge your progress in reading, writing and numeracy. These assessments cannot be prepared for so therefore require no revision. Please find below the timetable for this year s SNSA s. All three assessments will take place in the GP rooms at separate times next week. Students should go at the start of the period allocated and will spend the whole period there. Please arrive promptly.
