3 Sukkur IBA The Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (Sukkur IBA) is a well reputed educational institution in Sukkur, Pakistan. The institute is a public sector degree-awarding institute approved by Higher Education Commission and chartered by the Government of Sindh, in the top rated W Category. Sukkur IBA has been ranked as the 3rd best business school in Pakistan by HEC. The mission of Sukkur IBA is to contribute and serve community by imparting knowledge through innovative teaching and applied research at the global levels of excellence. We aim to establish and sustain a competitive meritorious environment by strengthening faculty and using state of the art technology to produce graduates with analytical, leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit, who possess global outlook and are conscious of ethical values. Sukkur IBA s goals and objectives are to produce world-class graduates who possess not only knowledge but are also equipped with practical skills, research and capabilities of critical thinking. We strive hard to ensure ethical thinking in our graduates, in order to enable them to work for the betterment of mankind.

4 SANDEE The South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) is a regional network that uses economic tools and analyses to address South Asia's environmental challenges. It is based on the premise that solutions to economic development concerns and environmental problems are integrally linked. Thus, SANDEE brings together South Asian researchers and institutes interested in the inter-connections among development, poverty and the environment. Its main goal is to build the professional skills required to enable South Asians to address local and global environmental concerns. SANDEE works in seven countries in South Asia - Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. SANDEE was launched in November 1999 and is hosted by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Kathmandu, Nepal. SANDEE was previously based at IUCN-the World Conservation Union, Nepal.

5 4th International Conference on Business Management "Development, Competitiveness, and Innovation" 26-27 February 2014 Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, in collaboration with University of Management and Technology, Lahore has been organizing International Conferences on Business and Management for last three 3 years. This time, it was organized on 26-27 February 2014 at Sukkur IBA with the same event pattern and organizers as before. Theme of the 4th International Conference on Business Management was "Development, Competitiveness, and Innovation". The purpose of 4th ICoBM was to provide platform to corporate leaders and executives, mature academic researchers and student researchers to share their knowledge and learning with the intellect-loving audience. 4 th ICoBM 2014 in a nutshell 122 Paper Presenters from 11 Countries (USA, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, India, China, Germany, Nepal, Greece, UAE, Netherland and Pakistan) 18 Online Papers Presentations 9 Keynote Speakers from 5 Countries (United States of America, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Finland and Pakistan) 4th ICoBM: The forum for discussion on key issues related mainly to business, economics, and finance at global level between policy makers, academicians, and businessmen after the global financial crunch The platform for cross fertilization of ideas between researchers from across the country as well as from the international community The junction, which facilitates the collaboration of national as well as from International academic institutions for the development of academia and research The thought provoking experience that will consolidate the importance of the trinity of concept related to Development, Competitiveness, and Innovation

7 Objectives of the SANDEE Panel Session SANDEE as a part of their dissemination effort hosted a panel "Environmental Pollution in Pakistan: Causes, Impacts, Government Regulations, Compliance, and Technology Adoption", during the ICoBM Conference 2014. SANDEE panel discussed on-going research on environmental pollution and other environmental issues with special focus on textile industries, agriculture, and household activities. The panel presented their research findings on: health implications from pollution in textile industries; environmental regulations and their compliance in textile industries; organic agriculture; adoption of biogas as a source of energy; and adoption of improved cook-stoves. The panel also discussed policy implications based on the research findings.

8 Program of the Session The session was started by Dr. Waqar Akram, he introduced SANDEE, its objectives and great support to 4 th International Conference on Business Management then he called Prof. Dr. Maqbool Hussain Sial, to chair the session. Prof. Dr. Maqbool Hussain Sial, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences. He has done his PhD from University of Wisconsin, Madis. He shared his views about SANDEE contribution towards Pakistan economy. Mr. Ubaidullah Yashkun called one by one all the SANDEE presenters to share their research.
