The Arizona Board of Regent s High Honors Tuition Scholarship (a.k.a. AIMS Scholarship) is a university academic merit scholarship administered by the Arizona Department of Education on behalf of the Arizona Board of Regents. Qualified students who graduate from high school in 2013 and beyond will receive a 25% in-state university tuition scholarship. The scholarship is fixed and renewable for an additional three years based upon universitydetermined criteria. Qualifications: 1. A s & B s in all 16 Core Competency Courses 2. 3.5 Core Competency GPA OR Top 5% rank 3. Exceed Standards on all 3 or the AIMS Exams by the end of junior year OR Exceed Standards on 2 AIMS tests AND score at least 3 on at least two AP tests. * Students CANNOT retest to Exceed senior year to qualify! 4. WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? Research to see what education is required for the occupation you are interested in. We will be researching possible careers and colleges in Aclab. Find a college or university that offers your major. Determine if that institution is a good fit for you.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE You can register for a community college without having a SAT/ACT score just take the Accuplacer Placement Test Reading, Writing, Math Can take the test at any community college campus You can get a scholarship if you score high enough on the test You can take core classes at the community college and then transfer to a university your junior year. Check out the MAPP Programs!!! You can take some of the same classes offered at a university at a community for less money. ASU - $4,604 per semester (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Chandler-Gilbert Community College $1,140 per semester (15 credit hours)
