NIIT presents its first Cloud Scholarships for GNIIT, enabling a student to learn anywhere, anytime learning at India s first Cloud Campus. The new GNIIT syllabus is based on a revolutionary educational concept called collaborative learning which takes learning beyond the traditional student-teacher relationship. The learning process is not just limited to textbooks but can be enhanced through group learning. Over the last 30 years, NIIT Scholars have created a mark for themselves in the IT Industry and most of them today are recruiters of NIIT students. The NIIT Cloud Scholarships for GNIIT are aimed at facilitating meritorious college students who want to prepare themselves for a successful IT career by enrolling for the programme. All candidates who have completed Class XII successfully and have an age of less than or equal to 23 years as on 1 st October, 2011 are eligible to apply for the NIIT Cloud Scholarships. Polytechnic candidates who have completed Class XII are also eligible to apply for the scholarships under the Global Net+ series of programmes. In order to appear for the scholarship, candidates need to collect the Information Bulletin/Hall Ticket by paying a fee of ` 50/- at an NIIT Centre or apply on the website (www.niit.com/cloud) and appear for the scholarship exam as per the specified date.

NIIT will award Cloud Scholarships based on the candidate s performance in the scholarship test, Class XII performance and personal interview. Assured Merit Scholarships can be earned on the spot based on the candidate s Class XII performance. This may be further enhanced by performance in the scholarship aptitude test and subsequent personal interview. Cloud Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of a candidate s performance in the scholarship test, Class XII performance and personal interview. scholarship slabs will be awarded based on merit, on meeting the qualifying criteria in the scholarship test and clearing a personal interview. The scholarships earned can be availed on select programmes as per the candidate s eligibility within the offer period. The benefits cannot be deferred or extended for upgrades or programme extensions in the future. The courses to which the candidates are finally admitted under the scholarship benefit will apply to the programmes/semesters/courses that are offered at the participating NIIT Centre and courses offered under the Cloud Scholarship for GNIIT. (B.A./B.COM./B.SC./B.B.M./other recognised degrees) These programmes range in duration from1 year to 3 years and are designed so that they can be pursued along with graduation. The GNIIT Programme prepares a student enrolled in college, for a successful entry into the professional world by making him career-ready, the day he graduates. This programme can be pursued as a dual-qualification programme along with a graduation degree. The industry-endorsed syllabus of the GNIIT Programme helps students develop strong conceptual foundations, alongside technical skills, for meeting the core requirements of job demands in IT and IT-related domains. With inputs from NIIT s academic and IT partners, the syllabus ensures that students IT skills are mapped to industry requirements. The 6-semester GNIIT Programme offers multiple specialisations after a foundation semester. The Foundation semester focuses on building skills in

These candidates will have to avail the scholarship within the specified time period. There are 3 types of scholarship awards that can be earned Type A, Type B and Type C. The highest award is associated with Type A. Terms and Conditions Aspirants have to submit two passport-sized photographs and attested copies of their Class XII marksheets at the time of applying for the Cloud Scholarship 2011 exam and collect their exam hall ticket. The hall ticket number will be given from the NIIT Centre after the above documents have been verified. This will be the number the candidate will use in all future correspondence with NIIT before his/her enrolment. The examination will have 60 objective-type questions aimed at judging numerical ability, analytical ability, deductive reasoning and verbal abiity of the candidate. At the end of the examination, the schedule for interview and counseling will be intimated to the candidate.
