Issue 5 5th October 2018 Thought of the Week Positivity All you can change is yourself, but sometimes that changes everything! - Gary W. Goldstein Harlow Foodbank now have an urgent need for food donations due to the increase in referrals since the introduction of Universal Credits in Harlow in July 2017. They are currently feeding an average of 332 people each month with emergency food, with a third of these being children. Last year they fed 4,102 people and this year are projected to feed between 4,250-4,300. St Luke s are supporting the Harvest Festival Appeal again this year. Harvest Appeal We will be taking donations for Harlow Foodbank who are part of the national network of foodbanks. They use tinned and dried foods, which are collected, packed, and then distributed to provide emergency food to local people in crisis. We will be taking food donations up until Friday 12th October 2018. Thank you so much for your support.
